Guess I am on a different quest as the first mod in my mind is for camber plates and likely a rear control arm set up. It seems the bulk of folks are using Tarett plates and their rear control arm, because tire wear , turn in, cornering capabilities are gong to be affected alot by a proper alignment and as much negative camber one can get with just a few steps. Who on here has just done camber plates and rear control arms ( and which brand ) and successfully gotten 2.1-2.4 degrees of negative camber up front? I am planning on doing the simple stuff first as often with some of the new cars one finds out after the fact that they can't beat out some of the killer adjustables ( MCS for instance ) simply because it takes a ton more technical knowledge than the average Trackrat has.

I've seen GT4 shocks that I'd like to try in my Cayman S
Are they compatible? I believe the knuckles , LCAs and rest othe suspension set up is the same in terms of geometry (except the GT4 has some adjustability the S does not have). Can anyone confirm this?
Has anybody tried GT4 shocks in their S or GTS?

Any inputs will be appreciated

I looked into this a few months ago, but top mounts are different. GTS top mounts are same as base 911

I just installed Bilstein B16 Damptronic coilovers
with FAL. Worthy upgrade and only a touch firmer than OEM. Nice 5mm drop too on SPASM.

The entire process turned into a clusta as Cargraphic supplied their FAL kit that wasn't compatible despite saying it was.

All good in the end, but big $ exercise...the cost of buying house with crazy driveway

EDIT: Here are some just after the B16's were done, but I since added a bit more negative camber up front, so front looks a bit lower still. Only 5mm drop all round on SPASM.

Bilstein B16's ride really well. I'd say if OEM was 6/10 in firmness, the B16's are 7.5/10. GT4 being a 8.5/10. If I put the SPASM into Sport/hard mode with B16's though it is very stiff and definitely suitable only for track.

If anyone wants to do the Cargraphic FAL on a GTS, send me a PM as plenty of things to consider.
1. you can't use the Bilstein front springs and need to get alternative cylindrical springs from Bilstein via Cargraphic. I'm sure that you could use a similar spring from another manufacturer, but Bilstein wouldn't tell me the spring rate)
2. you need a helper spring ( I used a Swift 60mm ID x 2.76" LG x 45 Lb. Part H60-070-008)
3. The Cargraphic FAL kit is more suited to LHD cars in terms of installing the compressor and electronics near the battery and cowl. RHD just requires a bit on improvisation.
4. The B16's at the rear have an issue with routing the PASM cables as the OEM cable is through the top of the shock, whilst B16 is at the bottom. My installer managed to find another harness's grommet hole to feed these through though, but again added to frustration & cost of the install.

Thanks for the pics! So B16 lets you keep the adjustable function and have the button in the middle console continue to work? That's pretty cool vs something like the Ohlins where you need the PASM delete kit on top of the initial cost.

Yes, B16's plug into OEM PASM connectors. Total plug-and-play solution, no errors. Unlike the OEM PASM though, there is a significant difference between the 2 modes.

I will add that if you are doing serious track duty, the Bilsteins with a DSC controller and the spring upgrade from Tarett is fantastic! The stock Bilstein springs are progressive and not vey high spring rates - the spring upgrade is fantastic!

I was wondering is DSC is worth it as seems mixed reviews? My B16's were swapped to linear springs for the FAL fitment.
