I normally leave auto start / stop enabled (it doesn’t bother me), but I am aware the ac isn’t going to work when off. My issues didn’t seem related to *** from what I could tell, but I’ll pay more attention, and even disable it to try things. A fair number of people appear to have this same issue, and I’m going to guess at least some of them are *** disablers ( valid acronym use!!! lol )

*** hmmmm, never really noticed this as I have it disabled by way of the T-Design9 module, and you know, off the top of my head I don't recall any A/C shutdowns either... related?

I also have the T-Design9 module with Auto Start-Stop set to disabled, but I've also had the inoperative cooling problem once.

Mine was acting a bit odd today as well. Only have 350 miles on the car.
I have dual zone automatic.

A similar issue happened to me and it caused my GT4 to be a total loss. Let me explain, on a hot late August afternoon my wife and I went for a drive. My GT4 had the dual climate option and the driver side was fine, blowing cold air as intended. My wife started complaining that on her side the air was coming out warm, so I stopped and checked, turned the car on and off and still warm air. I called the dealership and dropped off my car to have it repaired. A few days later hurricane Ida came and my dealerships lot got flooded. So I’m blaming the AC for losing my GT4! on a serious note I hope this isn’t the norm because I get my new GT4 in the next few weeks.

Sounds like it is pretty common, if not an actual norm. I’m very interested to see what the dealer can do. My valve controller should be here soon.

My pre-flight checklist always involves setting the car to Sport or Individual mode - both of which have *** disabled. I don't think *** being disabled or enabled has anything to do with it, nor do I think it's a battery voltage issue - all of my drives are typically 30-45 minutes, and the car is on a CTEK battery tender if I know I won't be driving it for more than a week.

I predict that this problem with A/C is just a software glitch, based on all the people who have experienced it in this thread (myself included). I'm optimistic that Porsche will eventually release a software fix that addresses it, if they don't already have one available.

For me, it's not worth taking it to the dealer for just this problem that's only occurred twice so far and was resolved by simply pulling over and stopping and restarting the car.

With all the disasters affecting car availability, I had forgotten the hurricane losses. @Frank Torres How long have you been waiting? Was it an insurance thing or did Porsche get you a new car? I assume the former.

Had the car in to Porsche this weekend. The title is not correct. That is not what we told them. In any event they say there is nothing wrong with it not working on occasion. We shall see.

The OM notes that this can happen under extreme load…would assume COTA fits that description.

Mine occurred on cold start (in hot climate ambient, maybe 95F). 404 heat soak not found.

Cold start…another indication that perhaps systems is sensitive to stray voltages.

Could be, but the car wasn't parked for more than a day or two in advance of the start; it gets driven a lot right now. Shouldn't be a low battery issue.
One other weird thing I have happen is every so often, my windshield wipers will jump a little when I shut the car down. Doesn't happen every drive cycle, but prob one in ten or so.
