Maybe it’s not ready for prime time yet, but they’ll get there. Can’t the Taycan already handle a full 20-25 minute track session without going into limp-home mode?
3300lbs as a race car? Heavy. I figured the street version would be 3800 and looks like that's going to end up true although maybe it'll be a tad lighter than I figured. How's the range. If the best elon can do is 20 minutes of track use right now before it turns into a turtle and 10 minutes before it overheats everything we'll see what this thing gets but it's prob not going to be amazing.

The road car isn’t going to sound anything like that. This is a race car.
It’s gonna be funny watching all the people who swore they’d never go electric jumping in line to buy one when they finally realize how much more fun they are to drive and they get sick of staring at the taillights of EVs all day.

The Jetsons have entered the chat.
90 seconds in and had to shut it off. That sound is horrible.

Everything about that car is sexy except the noise. I usually like straight gears, but that's too much. Cross cut the gears where necessary, keep it pure (don't add a bunch of BS nannies, screens, and fluff) and I may be game. Still have the energy density problem, but this is a step in the right direction compared with most EV to date.
How many track days does your Taycan have on it? If >0, how do its tires like that 4700 lbs on a hot day?
