Default GT4RS or 991.2 GT3RS WP?

I am next to last on the planet on the list for a GT4RS, it seems. I have one specced at my local dealer for about $190K (WP, mag wheels, etc,) but the dealer here is small, so I'd probably get a GT4RS at $50-100K ADM somewhere else if I got really lucky.

An acquaintance is selling his lightly tracked 2019 GT3RS WP w/ 10K miles on it since he has too many other obligations to enjoy it much. I drove it this morning and found it very similar to the '22 GT3 I drove at PEC-ATL last weekend. It has a full Dundon exhaust and sounds magnificent! The price is about $15K less than comparables online and is actually about how much I'd have to pay for a new GT4RS, I think.

The GT3RS WP is not exactly as I would order it, but when all is said and done, I love it & it is available NOW, and the GT4RS may not ever be for me, or at least not for a long while.

Should I pull the trigger on the GT3RS or wait for the GT4RS?

Buy the 3RS and leave your name on the list for the 4RS and decide what to do if your name comes up…

A 3RS trade in for a 4RS would probably help bump you up the list

Yup.

Get the 3RS now. If and when the 4RS come, then decide.

Having a 3RS is good leverage if you want to trade for another car. Maybe you might want a 992 GT3.

You never know what will tickle your fancy in the future.

I agree with those saying, if nothing else, the 3rs is a great card in your hand for whatever you want to do.

Thats easy - 991.2 3RS, better in every respect. (more downforce, more HP and torque, multi-link rear, rear axle steer, more wheel and tire). However, none of that may matter to you. It sounds like you can't lose out either way

The flip side is the the GT4 RS may be the last NA Cayman RS and the only RS produced for the Cayman/Boxster line up.

OOps I missed the bit about being near last on the list - GT3 RS it is you'll love it.

Yes, get the GT3RS and see what happens with the GT4. BTW, I am also in Asheville and spent a full day in a GT4 clubsport at VIR last week. We should get together some time.

OK. Thanks for all of your advice.
(Even my shrewd, logical, retired-surgeon "Captain Bring-Down" father told me to buy it.)

Price agreed; I'm going to purchase the GT3RS WP later today. Probably will keep the GTS 4.0 for a while since my daughter loves it so much, but the market is pretty hot right now...
Should I post pics here or move to the GT3RS forum?

I followed a 3RS w/Manthey Racing kit on it around the Ring earlier this week (I was in a 4RS) no competition the 3RSMR was faster - took a LOT of work to keep up

enjoy!
