No more GTS 4.0 dealer says

Again, thank you everyone for your comments, and the person who reached out with the ADM. I have owned more than one Porsche and if the market is what it is, then just move on, right? At the price point that I am comfortable, a 991.2 is a great car. I already had a NA in the 991.1 and not able to enjoy a NA 4.0 GTS at close to MSRP is not much of a loss.

This is very true. I got a GT4 allocation and then had to back out for personal reasons. Once that cleared up, I ended up with a GTS4.0 Boxster. So you never know. I also was on a list for the C8 and the dealer told me anywhere from 1/3-1/2 back out once you get to the firm deposit phase. I was like #463 for a Corvette and thought it would be a year. Dealer called me after 5 months and said I moved up. So now I'm on a Z06 list lol.

Trying not to start a separate thread.. But has ANYONE confirmed with any NA dealerships.. that there are for sure NO MY 2023 718 4.0 cars ( any including GTS, GT4, or Spyder)
Last conversation I had with my Sales Manager for a large volume dealer.. no 718 showed up for allocation in the LATEST batch.. but, that didn't mean there would not be more coming?

All three of those models will be built in MY2023. That's been confirmed. Your allocations may vary.

Yup MY23. My dealer got a Boxster 4.0 allocation yesterday. Late Oct early Nov delivery. He will be shocked if he gets another. Wants 15k over but I doubt anyone will bite and they’ll end up spec’ing it themselves and put on showroom floor.

As @Xxyion alluded to, there is a MY2023 GTS/GT4/Spyder that is being produced. But there doesn't seem to be an abundance of 2023 allocations thus far, and I don't think it's a guarantee that a full year of production will occur. This may be an abbreviated run as the 2018 GT3 was. The introduction of the GT4RS and looming Spyder RS suggests the GT4 and Spyder are probably coming to a close.

FWIW I signed for a BGTS yesterday and have my commission number.. MY23 with a late October or November delivery, so I assume the car will probably be built after the August break. That is fine with me as I am not sanguine about shipping cars into Houston via the Gulf and S/E coast Atlantic waters during the peak of hurricane season. I am also hopeful that some of the supply chain issues Porsche is dealing with will mitigate over the summer as well as the Ukraine returning to some type of stability, hope springs eternal.

TXShaggy also mentioned he thought production would end in 2022.
For what its worth I have had two dealers in Canada confirm the same re: the Spyder, that production will end in December 2022.
If that happens, I still don't see the GT car market slowing down for prices. There is a very low mileage (750kms) 2021 Spyder for sale in Toronto currently for $198,500, which I think is the highest I have seen to date. MSRP was $130k. I have had more than one dealer mention that it would be 2-3 year wait for any sports car now. That doesn't give me a feeling that new is going to catch up any time soon, therefore used probably won't be going anywhere but up.
