Locking soon... maybe... again... vacillating on two options
My build was supposed to be locked by now, and in production next week, but between various world events like a lot of us things have been delayed a bit, which unfortunately gives me more time to think about my build!
The only two options I'm vacillating over for my BGTS are:
1). SPASM vs PASM; I'm in upstate NY (Adirondacks) and drive through New England a bit, including living some of the year on a gravel road that can be in rough shape (it is better now, but in the past some folks have taken out their oil pans... I know the road well, go slow, but figure every 1/2 of clearance I can get will help...). I've read every PASM vs SPASM thread here and have distilled it down to "most won't notice the difference handling wise unless you are very particular or on a track" and "SPASM looks better cosmetically to those particular about wheel gap". Has anyone driven both extensively and can weigh in? I don't plan on tracking it at this point, just enjoying the back roads and such (preferably with nice smooth asphalt, but that is in short supply most of the time...)
2). Smoking package. I *think* I like the idea of an open pocket I can stash items in during the drive vs a small closed container I'll likely never use. I'm not concerned with having another power port.
Any comments / thoughts / opinions / experiences appreciated.

As someone mentioned in another thread, *I* am the poster boy for why you don't change your options close to Lock date. lol Popular wisdom is "don't change anything in the last month before lock." But these days? It's all a craps shoot.
No one can tell you with ANY certainty what will happen, but unless you're willing to take the schedule hit, don't change anything. That is the way I would look at it.

Adrift - you are indeed legendary at this point
At this point my delivery date is 6/10 (from 4/29) but honestly I expect that is going to slip more. I"m not particularly upset about it either - there are far more important issues in this world than when my BGTS is able to appear.

Uncovered the “oddments” tray is big enough to put a chapstick in; otherwise it’s just a dust trap.
I use the 12V for my battery tender; the other 12V is way up high in pass compartment so “hands and knees” type stuff.
PASM vs SPASM…I drove my Spyder all around the country last year and never thought twice that it was too low or harsh; get SPASM. The only caveat is if you have a known obstacle where 10mm would make a difference.

Assuming I ever actually GET my car, I am okay it slipped. I am much more excited about a PG car with PCCB than I was before; it's kind of strange actually.
It'll be legendary...some day.
It sounds like you're fine with a slip, so change away! Unless you'll suddenly not want those options. lol Only you can know that.

I also use the 12v plug included in the smoking package to plug my battery tender into
as for the suspension options go for the higher one if you're going to be doing gravel roads IMO

TXShag - Sounds like you're believing 100% in the veracity of that posted notice, in spite of the recent apparent revelations to the contrary. Any particular reason?

Learn to speak Porsche.
AP “Right now we can’t fit GT3 motor in GT4”.
Both statements correct when said

I am in NH/MA. MA roads suck big time. I was also debating PASM/SPASM, but I ordered SPASM. I drove GT4 recently and it was more than tolerable. Comfy in fact compared to my Elise Sport on factory Ohlins.
The open cubby without the ashtray is laughably small and looks stupidly useless. Don't do that.
