I would bet that at least 99 out of 100 random people who were asked what sex they associate with pink and blue would choose pink for girls and blue for boys, according to my wife, whom I consulted before posting this. And my wife's favorite color is pink and mine is blue.
Just a historical note about the color pink invading what was definitely a man's world in the war years of 1940-45.
US Navy periscope shears on their submarines were painted pink as it was discovered that pink has a natural camouflage ability in low light situations.
The British painted their low-level photo recon Spitfires a very pale shade of pink as it was discovered that it blended nicely with the sky at low level especially on dawn and dusk recon missions. Mountbatten pink, also called Plymouth Pink, is a naval camouflagecolor resembling greyishmauve. It was first used by Lord Mountbatten of the British Royal Navy during World War II. After noticing a Union-Castle Lineship with a similar camouflage color disappearing from sight, he applied the color to his own ships, believing the color would render his ships difficult to see during dawn and dusk.

Two daughters here and neither of them like pink. The first one likes purple and the youngest one like blue. There is literally zero scientific reason to associate pink and blue with girls and boys and I find that whole thing rediculous.
Would I buy a pink Porsche? No, as I dislike the color but it has nothing to do with what is between my legs.

My wife hates pink too. She prefers yellows and oranges. I like dark blues and some reds and oranges.
It'd not for me but seeing some pictures I can see why they offered it. And looking at the pink/amethyst 911 posted above I could see that it might be a collector color years down the road. But that Frozen Berry Boxster with wheels painted to match and tan interior, I can't unsee that! I'm guessing that the person that ordered that lost their hefty deposit when they didn't accept delivery!
I think unique rare colors as a collector car go out the window the moment you factor in PTS and CXX exists. I mean, is someone going to want 1/100+ frozen berry cars, or would they rather have a 1/10 pastel orange cars for a collectors car?
Is this desirable because it's rare? (maybe for a joke factor)

"Beauty is in the eye...". I wouldn't mind the leather/color above, with a muted exterior paint color (Chalk/Agate/Aqua Blue Pearl). However "for me", the mistake above is the jade/marble inlay color.

Yikes! What oil shiek or Bollywood star ordered that?
Does it look better in motion? Not sure I'd have done the body colored interior panels...would make me feel like I'm driving inside a bottle of nail polish, or lipstick:
