Track pads for 718 GT4
My stock pads on 718 GT4 are toast, so what do you guys that track a lot prefer? I track about 2 times a month. I have heard PFC, Endless, Raybestos, Ferodo ds1.11?
prefer something that doesn’t squeal like a pig, lol

I used pagids in the past. they're ok when new but below half life they really transfer heat. Bedding is a bit more involved than Ferodo.
Ferido 1.11 is a really good track pad, on the street it's a bit noisy but not as bad as pagids. It does give a bit of a soft pedal when cold, as it's optimal when it dilated a bit with heat.
The DS2500 is probably the best autoX/street pad I've used, very quiet with excellent bite and brake feel. I've never used on track as some say it's on the soft side for that. It's my winter pad as I can swap them without bedding due to similar materials.
DS3.12 seems to be even better than 1.11, I'm yet to try it.

I'm a fan of the DS3.12s. I'm running Cobalt Friction pads at the moment, but they squeal like crazy most of the time and I don't think they're significantly better than the 3.12s. Granted, I last ran the 3.12s on my GTS, but they both significantly out-performed the OEM pads, and were quiet on the street. I'm eager to finish off my Cobalt Friction pads and get the 3.12s on the car.

PFC 11 or Ferodo 3.12.
I prefer PFC's but they are on permanent backorder at the moment.
Apex Performance is the official PCA brake supplier. If you are a PCA member you get a discount.
Agree with above comments that Pagid yellows squeal like a school bus (the stock pads are basically rebadged Pagid yellows as far as I know.)

On the Ferodo website, it says the 3.12 & 1.1 are not suitable for road use, why would that be the case? Do the brakes not work well until they heat up?

The issue with most racing pads is that they don't have much cold friction and they wear the rotors quite fast just driving around town.

Same here was a huge fan of the PFC11s....Clark from Apex told me to give the DS3.12 a try and very happy with them.
Never switch them out and use them all the time....I don't put a lot of street miles on the car.
The Ferodos do need a bit more temp to be optimal and you need to do the bedding.

Ferodo DS3.12 seems to be the new favorite Porsche pad. I have never used these myself ( I used to race on PFC) but can tell you what all my customers tell me.
Currently the front pad is out of stock but WE are expecting a Ferodo UPS air container in today or tomorrow. Call me to order. and get special pricing. 843 299 0997

Burning Brakes
After talking with Clark last spring I oredered a set of Ferodo DS3.12. Using them on Girodisc rotors and they are really good. The fact that there is almost no brake squeel on street use (Vs the RS29 they replaced - they had embarassing squeel on street use) is a win/win!

Another vote for both Clark at ApexPerformance and the DS3.12. I like the DS1.11 a bunch too, but the DS3.12 feels very similar and makes noticeably less noise especially on the street.
