Spyder hole plugs when top down?
I know it is a petty thing but it bothers me to have the open plug holes when the top is down (see attached - not my car): does anyone have access to a 3D printer to make some plugs? I can get some modeling clay and make a plug out of it, which I assume someone could use to make the plug. I am thinking if there was a crescent moon-shaped notch at the rear one could use their fingernail to remove it. Thoughts?

Spyder hole plugs
I made the Spyder hole plugs and don’t mind sharing the files with you guys. The one with the “Porsche”name are relatively easy to print . I recommend using a material like PETG since it is UV resistance. To print it, like in the picture, it’s needs to be printed in an unconventional way since the writing is only one layer high and raised.
The plugs with the Spyder are a bit tricky if you don’t have a printer with dual extruders. But you can check in you area for a 3D printing service and they are most likely able to do it for you. The idea is to have a small LED behind the plug for a nice light effect . You can decide on the color of your Spyder inlays matching your cars features/color. Also the surface you print on will give the plug a distinct appearance. You can see that in the attached picture .
This are my test prints for the “Spyder” plug version .. I’m using a single extrusion printer and have to change material after the Spyder is printed.
Here you see more of the print details on the Porsche plug.

Good friend (engineer/GT3 owner) designed and printed (3D) them. Click into place, so they don’t rattle or come loose. Push down firmly at one end and they pop up/out. Required more work than expected… Will check with him.

Please check with him or maybe he can provide you with the file so we can print our own? Thanks!

Worse for those with a red roof. When the roof is down, dirt goes thru the two tiny holes at the bottom make 2 very visible black spots on the roof. I use black tape to temporarily cover the holes from inside ... but need a better solution so that the water can drain thru the two tiny holes

Worst case, if you cannot get the file, can I borrow a pair or one? Maybe the ones with the Spider on it if you are not using them? That way I can get someone to make them based off the ones you sent and I will send them back right away, and pay shipping both ways and give you some free goodies as well!

This is awesome. Would love to know more info as well. If he doesn't want the hassle of making and mailing them, maybe we can send him some beer money for his time if he's comfortable sharing the files? You can even go to your local library (some libraries) to get these printed!
