I was one of the lucky Stop Sale GTS owners and I picked my car up 2 weeks ago. Since the first day, I have noticed this high frequency noise which comes from the engine and sounds almost like a belt noise. Since the last time I heard the 4.0L run was in March, I cannot recall if this noise was present. Wondering if others have this noise on this vehicle. Thanks.

 

Sounds normal based on my experience, mine chirps like a bird. Most people believe it's the high pressure piezo fuel injectors.

 

ditto - its always v.noticeable when in an enclosed space like a garage...

BTW its either the injectors or the H.P fuel pump ... all normal - get an aftermarket exhaust and you wont notice it any more!

 

My CGTS 4.0 is one of the 200 delivered before the stop sale notice. My car had a chirping/clicking sound that could be heard at idle and now that my car is back with its new engine, I can report it sounds the same. This is the nature of the beast and causes me zero concern. Enjoy your car with this idiosyncrasy.
