GT4 RS Allocation Thread

Appreciate the offer, unfortunately I’m on the west side of the country and need to make a decision first thing business day to secure the allocation.
I don’t track the car, but do enjoy a spirited drive into the mountains. Will I ever push the car nears its limit? No, I haven’t even pushed my current GT4 near its limits yet and with the RS. Doubt, I’ll ever get to that threshold.

Just got the call for a GT4RS allocation for MSRP, but need to finance through Porsche and get a PPF.
Currently have a GT4, is it worth the jump?Someone who has made the leap from GT4 to RS, please PM me as I’m not sure I care for the PDK to make the jump and love manuals.

I had the same one to make about the Spyder RS regarding the PDK, the RS's are incredible cars but I kept the Spyder with the manual.

Agree it's a personal call. I never owned a gt4 but I test drove multiple times wanting to like them. I found I never really left 2nd gear for driving tighter back roads. Occasionally shifting up to third, but not actually a lot of engagement with the gears and transmission. I have found the paddles and the shorter gear ratios of the GT4rs are more engaging and fun than the long manual of the gt4. Hard to explain. Add in an extra 100hp, 9k RPMs, and the drama of the noises... 🤌🤌🤌

I'm with Martin on this one and I probably track a lot less.
Had a 981 GT4 and have a fair amount of miles in a 718 GT4 PDK. The 981 felt like it was substantially held back and not the best the platform could be. The 718 Is a lot better and I think the PDK was a great add with the gearing. The 4RS is just on a different planet in terms of theatrics, competence and sheer speed. I may not use anywhere near what it's capable of on road but it is simply an experience to drive at any time. Coming off tight corners with the lower gearing and explosive top end of the GT3 motor is worth the price of admision all by itself. Can't wait to track mine and maybe once you have one, you might want to as well a few times a year to stretch it's legs.

I have had
981 gt4 (traded in for 4rs)
718 gt4 (still own it for the manual)
4RS.
The 4RS is well worth the price delta and also worth dumping the manual. And I am a long time 6MT supporter. 4RS is just such an emotional car. Its perfect to me. Get it and don't look back

I’m currently in the Smokies sharing my ‘24’ GT4 RS with a friend. We both agree, trading the ‘23’ GT3T for the GT4RS was well worth it.

Well. I decided to let the 4RS go along with my Cali T for a high spec 992 GT3 Touring PDK. It’ll be fun for a while but def want to get back in a 4RS eventually! RS is RS…any unused allocations lmk!

Hello everyone, long time lurker, new member here and first post. I'm excited to say I pulled the trigger on a new 2024 GT4 RS, it should be arriving in August. Non PTS, but was able to configure it the way I want. Dealer originally wanted $50k ADM, but after negotiations I was able to bring it down to $25k ADM.

I ordered a "hold me over" 718 GT4 with the full intention to get rid after a year to get a GT4RS or Gt3 manual because I thought I would think it was just "okay" but fun to mix it up, after driving 991.2 Gt3RS everyday for almost 3 years I just couldn't stand the PDK anymore, I HAD to be back in a manual and went GT4 to "try it out" before they are extinct thinking not much of it.....and now, I literally cannot get rid of it. It is probably my favorite Porsche I have ever driven (even 997 GT ahhhh I know..., it's so much more toss-able/agile/better chassis). It exceeded my expectation by just a ton, and the more I track it and drive it, the more I like it, and the 991.2 3rs was the opposite of that, excitement just wanned over time.....I got so bored of the GT3RS because PDK and the chassis is just boring at anything under triple digits on the 991.2 3RS, but the 718 cayman platform is 10x as fun as the 991 was at any speed.
I am tempted daily at getting a 4RS....and I know time is fading to order one. For not being a manual, I don't think there is a better Porsche ever made, nor will ever be made tbh.
Hearing statements like yours make me second guess what I am doing over here

Wow, REALLY??!?!? I am the same type, diehard manual....Do u think you'll still think this in 2-3 years?
