he doesn't sell cars for a living...collects Porsches as a passion/ obsession. Lots of them. But your point is valid. People always talk their book often times without realizing their personal bias.

the lack of a manual on the RS could diminish my personal interest long term. I 100% get your perspective. The Speedster with the manual is magic. Raise your hand if you think Porsche will make a 718 R with a manual?

Nice build. Things to consider adding:
- Front axle lift (when you need it, you really need it)
- Autodimming mirrors with rain sensor (rain sensor works well)
- Personalized key with leather pouch (you'll appreciate this little luxury touch every time you use it)
- Porsche crest on the compartment lid (nice special touch)
- Smoking package (looks better than a hole, and outlet is handy)
You're welcome.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Currently I need to connect to passenger footwell to get 12V connector port to run the trickle charger and it is not convenient to bend and contort into the footwell.

How well does the Race-Tex hold up after getting wet?
Inevitably - I will hit a random rain storm on a drive in the southeast and before I can get the top on - the inside will get wet...

When I clean the Alcantara (essentially the same) on my Spyder I always plan to clean the entire piece I am working on, the wheel, the console cover, just so it all dries the same, so far so good!

With the SRS, I think that I will have to step up the game, keep the Race-Tex cleaner and even more dust free, still I think water intrusion is a concern but not enough to forgo the experience!

I really don't see the roof as an issue - the regular Spyder roof is somewhat fiddly, although not so much as what we see on the SRS. I like the idea of the sun shade especially, not going to lie. There are days, like now, here in Texas where top down is just not enjoyable because of the intensity of the sun during the day. I have been waiting until sundown to take my Spyder out lately, and I could envision a lot more usage with the sun shade. It's a cool feature for a very special car.
