Default Are all OAP created equal?

There are a few big name companies that have their own versions, some in Stainless, others in Titanium. If you are only deleting the OAP and keeping stock rear section, does it matter which one you pick for sound?

Obviously Ti is lighter than SS, but other than weight ], is there much difference?

The more expensive ones seem to be Ti and/or have heat shielding on them.

Kiline and Cargraphic are resonated. The others that I know of are not. This will affect sound. If you are keeping the stock rear, SS vs Ti will not make much of a difference. Heat shielding is desirable, however. I do not believe there is a heat shielded and resonated option.

If you are going to delete the OPFs for better sound eliminate the resonated options. I do not think you will notice any differences in sound amongst your choices and even heat shielding or ceramic coating is debatable in regards to if it really serves a purpose for the average person. Search the threads here and read more about them and make a decision but don't spend a lot of time!

Doing the OAP is simply not enough. Get the Kline and then delete the sound symposer... its almost perfect! (I say almost... because now I want the headers!!!!)

It will be enough for me. I want to keep it civil since it will be my daily and not a weekend toy.

pipes will be pipes. the material will have a slight distinction with sound. at the end of the day, i've decided to go with Fabspeed.

Is not enough! I daily mine. OAP alone will make the drone worse and only get you louder. IMO you need headers/(maybe OAP) or OAP AND Rear. If you get rid of the sound symposer the interior noise with Kline is less than OEM and way more pleasant. Under say 4,000 RPM there is very little difference on the exterior sound over OEM. Above that you want the car to sound good and it wont with just the OAP. The car IMO is a Daily Toy - impossible to drive in any other fashion than a miscreant would - its full time hooligan mode in this thing! And you are going to want the better exhaust sound/tone up higher as you wont like driving in the 'drone zone' which is real under 3,000 RPM. PM me if you want to hear my car when you pick up yours...

so as a data point, I have the Soul OAP + Akra slipon - its too loud as a daily - I am replacing my Soul's with Cargraphic resonated ...

here is a video of my car right after the Fabspeed OAP install. keep in mind that after a few miles, the inner section of the pipes will be coated with carbon which will change the note into a slightly deeper tone. this should be a good reference point. it is a great start. i am waiting for my Fabspeed headers which I hope will be arriving shortly.

note that *any* of the "straight thru" OAPs will result in this change - removing the resonator and filter matrix really transmits a LOT of engine sound to the final stages of the exhaust
