Hey - FYI, Kline do offer heat shielding (coating) as an option.

We do as well! We will happily coat any system we make.

Appreciate all the praise, our shop GT4 is by far my go-to for a quick spin around the city. One of the best sounding cars in the fleet!

Didn't realize that Cargraphic was heat shielded. How do the Cargraphic resonated OAPs sound with the Akra rear?

Why are you removing the Soul OAP?

in combination with my Akra slipon its simply way too f****** loud IMO ... once the valves open it simply SHOUTS ... I found myself doing my best to keep the rpms down to avoid the noise... its great for making an impression pulling away ... but for any longer trips I just get tired of it (top down)

the Cargraphics I have has a resonator... that should reduce some of the volume (I hope - otherwise its back to the OEM OAP for me)

I dont know how these guys with full race systems can tolerate the noise ... maybe over time they simply go deaf

YMMV

Agree... with Soul OAP and JCR Silenced Valved rear section it's the max I can live with as a DD.

it could be that the Akra slipon's internal construction (or lack thereof) in combination with a "straight thru" OAP design like the Soul/Akra/Fabspeed etc just generates too much "volume" - but its really too loud for me as a DD/weekend car - its fine on the track, elsewhere not so much particularly in a Spyder!

With current setup I busted max dB (measured at 94,1 - max allowed is 92) at local track... had to buy silenced tip to be able to shift a 8k!

Ouch - that is another serious concern, I have not sound tested my Spyder with the current setup, but this would be an issue for Laguna Seca - hell my GT3 barely passed 92 there - and that's a stock/OEM system - I have a set of Soul turn downs for that car!
