Here is a video comparing the LFA to the Carrera GT sound. The Carrera GT sounds great but the LFA is still #1 in my books. The second video talks about the LFA requiring a digital tachometer because it revs so fast and how Toyota partnered with Yamaha to help tune the engine and sound.

As much as I like a high pitched exhaust, that is just shrill to me. Too much. And I sure hope that LFA transmission has a different setting because that is one slow shifting gearbox. Sounds like someone with a manual granny shifting.

Is that the rear section only with stock OAP with particulate filters still in place?

Everybody hears exhaust sounds differently but the general consensus is the LFA is one of the best sounding cars ever made. Whether it's the best is subjective. After all, it was tuned by Yamaha who make some of the best sounding instruments in the world.

The LFA transmission is a single clutch transmission. At the time of it's R&D, double clutch transmission weren't used for the general public so it was basically the best of what Toyota had with the single clutch transmission. I'm sure if they were to build a modern day LFA, it would for sure have a DCT but yes, the single clutch transmission was one of the Achilles heel of the car.

Not digging the LFA. To each their own.

Crack-Pretzel not doing it?

(warning - some may want to skip to ~4:30 for Cayman content for vid below, if they find youtube Millennials annoying...but may miss nice Hurracan exhaust)
