Default So many miles of smiles...

I guess we all to some extent share the same sentiment since we're on this forum but these cars are just a blast to drive! Our first Porsche so we bought it without ever driving any Porsche but have always been a fan of their products. Didn't get to test drive it. Only saw our paint on those sample cars that look kind of like little frogs. Never saw or touched the Pepita before ordering it for the seats and center arm rest. Never drove a Porsche PDK. Never heard how the Burmester system will sound in a Spyder on the freeway. I did sit in the LWBS with my wife and we decided almost immediately that they weren't for us. Never tried the Porsche PCCB, let alone any car with CCB before. For the PCCB, I created another thread where I said I don't regret not getting the PCCB but maybe I have to move the needle a little more towards a little bit of regret because the brake dust is crazy and I'm not even using the brakes a lot because with PDK Sport on 100% of the time, I get a lot of engine braking.

With all of that being said, I'm driving it as much as I can whenever I can. I've heard the saying where people buy Ferraris and Lamborghinis and brag about how little they drive their cars but people buy their Porsches and brag about how much they drive their cars.

So let's see your mileage or km. Who has the most? I'm at 999 miles since picking it up from Glistening Perfection on 6/13/21. Post your mileage and state when you picked up your car. BTW, almost all of those miles have been with the top down except on two occasions worth about 75 miles of top up driving. That equates to about 92.5% top down driving. First time top up was just to make sure A/C works and to experience how loud it was with the top up. Plus we were going though a heat wave of about mid-90's at the time and we were cooking at the red lights.

I’m at 10 months just over 10,000 miles. Have a separate set of winters for many a cold Saturday morning B-Road in the winter.

-3F, burrr. But it was a blast. No one was out. Taken back in January.

Average of about 1k miles per month. Awesome!

Oh...and -3F. No thank you for this west coast sun bum. That's way too cold for my blood....especially in June.

So, the pandemic and the work-from-home thing have severely cut back the seat time in my GTS 4.0. Taking delivery at the start of winter did not help. It's been 6 months and I just hit 1500 miles. 1500 GLORIOUS miles.

There is no “quick” run out for groceries or errands.

I don't have mine yet, but finding excuses to drive is not hard...having to explain to your wife why you drove 20 minutes to the next town to get milk or eggs vs the store down the street gets to be pretty funny! Glad to see everyone enjoying and driving their cars!

Couple I’ve used…

”GT cars have to run for at least 40 minutes to warm up the oil and burn off any moisture…”

”There were some trains…”

”Guy ran up to me in the parking lot to talk about the car” (this has happened a few times).

”I got lost…”

My car isn’t due for a PEC ATL for pickup until early November. I have a set of Forgeline wheels in the garage and will have a set of Dundon headers waiting when I get home with the car. Two of the best mods you can do.

I (we all) know the feeling of anxiously waiting. I was living vicariously through everybody on this forum and enjoying their deliveries and drive reports as if it were my own reports. There are some videos on You Tube that I've lost count of how many times I've watched.

Alpha Ice, luckily my wife knows that I'm not even going to pretend and make excuses to drive the car. She's actually into riding in it and have asked if we could go for a couple of Friday night drives just for the hell of it.

Alan C., I don't know what the weather will be like in November in ATL but you'll be in for a treat with PECATL delivery.
