Default suspension recall 718 GT4

Took my car for the suspension recall , and it needs a part from Germany which will take sometime like few business days
apparently there are 9 different scopes for this particular recall and the dealer don't have all of them in stock
so if you are planning to do this recall , make sure to talk to service ahead of time so they can figure out what scope the car needs and if they don't have it , they can order it before you leave the car there
a scope : is the group of parts that are needed for a particular fix, just in case someone is wondering what a scope is

Did they notify you of the recall? Haven't heard anything as yet, 2020 manufactured in June 2020.

My SA informed me when I brought it in for some other work. Other than that, I haven't seen anything official from PCA. He did tell me they have attempted to order some parts they 'think' will need to be replaced but ultimately they won't know until they start pulling the front end apart. Mine goes in on Monday 5/24.

Documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reveal that Porsche was informed of the problem on February 9th. Fast forward to February 24th, and that’s when the safety committee was presented with the first results of the worst-case tests. The potential implications after 20,000 kilometers (12,427 miles) of driving were too great, which is why the German automaker decided to take precautionary action.

According to the filed documents, a hexagonal flange nut is the culprit. This nut is used to affix threaded connections on the front and rear suspension. A loose threaded connection might cause movement beyond a component’s intended position, which may lead to suspension failure without warning.

“The threaded connections will be replaced with a new nut and bolt,” said Porsche, “and tightened to the original specification. Additionally, surrounding components will be checked for any consequential damage.” If the service tech finds premature wear, these parts will obviously be replaced.

As for the planned notification date for dealers and owners, safety recall 21V-157 will begin on May 9th. Produced for the 2021 model year, affected models include the Taycan 4S, Turbo, Turbo S, 911 Carrera, Carrera S, 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S, and the 718 from the base variants to the Cayman

Cheers!

I just tried the Porsche recall page and my VIN came up clean, Oct '20 build.

Edit: the NHTSA letter to PCNA says only 396 units are affected, that seems to be over the car lines, not SUV's.
And I spoke to a woman at PCNA who couldn't find a record of the recall yet. She asked, "Did you see this on Rennlist"?

ok, so... safe to assume that a March 2020 build is in the clear on this one?

Again guys I don't know details , it popped up on My Porsche and took car in and I posted to alert people about the potential wait time for parts to get in from Germany.
I took my car in and dealer said it will be ready in a day
it turned out that it needs parts and it will take over a week
so I was hoping others avoid this by having parts preordered by dealer

I had an appointment tomorrow to address this recall but it was cancelled due to lack of parts to perform this recall. Thanks to this post this morning, I called the "new" SA to discussed this and she had no clue what the recall is about and deferred me to the service manager, who was the previous SA.. I spoke to the service manager and he knew what is needed and proceed to order the parts. He will contact me once the parts arrive from Germany to schedule the recall service. I didn't get any mail dealer regarding this recall. Like the OP I saw the recall notice on My Porsche site account.

If I ever get asked this, my answer would be:

Of course, the most trusted online resource for Porsche enthusiasts. We know more before most dealers. Otherwise I won’t be calling you.
