from the convo I had with my SA, the regional Sales person (not the term in Porsche-speak but can't recall the exact noun used) has a tremendous amount of sway in getting allocations for particular dealerships. The last Regional guy in our area apparently had a lackadaisical attitude and a so-so relationship with the company. Now a new guy came in and is all gung-ho and very likely to secure my allocation quicker than the last guy. I can wait, I've waited since I was 9 to buy one and here I am 52 years later so not a difficult exercise for me.
