I think the red gauges look great, I specced it on mine. Yes, you can see the outlines of the warning lights, but at least on the GT4, you can also with the standard titanium gauge as well, since you can't opt for black on the GT4.

Ya, it's not as visible on grey but still there... Honestly i think if grey delete was an option on the gt4 like it used to be on the 991s a lot of people would probably check that.

The Grey center gauge on S models and GT models is such an odd 'upgrade' imo.

Agreed. IMO, it's a downgrade from black.

Thanks to an extremely helpful Rennlister, I got a BGTS 4.0 allocation in late April for a July build with September delivery.

That allocation slipped to a September build, but it's now V200 so I feel pretty good. Delivery at PEC-LA, so I'm still not sure when I'll see it. Hopefully by year-end.

After a lot of drama eventually got an email from my dealer that I got an July build allocation on a 2022 GT4 and the lock date will be end of May. But they didn't give me the commission number

That question does not really answer any question since it depends on the allocation. Someone could get on a list and wait months for an allocation and someone else could walk in the day before a dealer got an allocation - make sense?

It makes perfect sense and that's exactly why I asked...so that people can see what the "range" is of people waiting at certain dealers vs others that "got lucky" so to speak.

Perhaps it’s just semantics, but people don’t just “place orders”. The dealership receives allocations and puts a customer against that build date.

An “Allocation” is defined by an actual build date.

Unless it’s PTS the allocation locks about 2 weeks prior to build date and you go from there.

If you’re waiting, generally you’re on a list w/o allocation. Not sure I’d call getting an allocation “luck”…usually some effort is required, although some do stumble on one. Rarer now days…

Yes, semantics..."placing an order" meaning the day when they went in and told the dealer they wanted to buy the car and put down a deposit, whether the dealer happened to have an allocation or not (order demand).

The order was placed and went V200 on May 12th. The dealer got the allocation in the recent round. I was planning to purchase at another dealer until they wanted ADM, so I called the dealership near me that I’ve bought from before. I first inquired back in June 2019 about allocations ( at the dealer where I will be purchasing from ). I occasionally stayed in contact inquiring about any allocations and called on the right day when someone passed on the allocation.

I've been waiting for my allocation spot to open up for about 6 months - got mine on Friday afternoon, and locked it in for a 2022 Spyder - delivery at the end of October. Whoo Hooo!!!
