Not dumb at all....went for an extensive drive Saturday and had times with top down and up....I didn't notice the windscreen either way. I did notice how much clearer my view is using the rearview mirror, which made me realize how much I noticed the black mesh previously...Additionally, my wife commented that she didn't feel as "wind battered" as she did with the mesh installed, although I cannot say that I noticed a difference....

Looks great! Interestingly, when comparing your high version to my short version, it appears the high version is only about 1" higher. I think it would be interesting to swap in a high version immediately after driving with the low to see if there is really any discernable difference. Also, I can finally report back to anyone reading this thread while researching, that I driven a few times at nighttime, and reflections of the dash lights and oncoming car lights are definitely noticeable in the glass, but even so, I did not find it distracting. Of course YMMV....

Does anyone have pictures of their car with the glass wind screen from a distance? All the pics here are close up. I'd like to see a whole car pic with the glass screen in place (high or low). I'm leaning towards low version for better aesthetics.

IMO, less obvious than OEM black mesh.

I ordered one this week... (low version). Uwe was excellent to work with. The order shipped very swiftly.

This is very intriguing. I’d get one just for the improved rearward visibility.
My original 987.2 Boxster had an optional clear clear glass wind blocker. Really helped with noise and turbulence.
I know this was dismissed before but I suspect there is more drag with this solid wind blocker as there is for the current OEM mesh.
Porsche is all about form following function....but also profit, so who knows!

I noticed that suncoasr has something similar but for 1/3 the price.

Is the Windschott version 3 times better?

Any owners of this have more thoughts on the low vs the high version?
Aesthetics, noise, relative airflow drag?
I'm definitely interested in getting one.

I have high version. I love the aesthetics, looks a lot cleaner, almost invisible in rear view mirror. Wind noise is subjectively better. No difference in drag imo. Aesthetically speaking I think the low version looks a tiny bit better, but I went for the higher version on recommendation of the vender Windschott for less wind noise and reduction in cabin wind/noise at highway speeds with the top down.
