Installed Windschort 718 High Version yesterday. Great product. It sits higher than mesh from Porsche, doesn't restrict visibility, and creates a cabin quiet enough to have a conversation. I love it.

Do you experience buffeting or vibration at high speed?

Very nice, and finally out of tempered glass, this will make it easier to clean and should minimize vibrations as well, how is the fit, does the thickness of the glass provide for solid mounting?

Thanks...

Reading this on their website, does it come complete and ready to use?

Only the windscreen - without the frame / mount

I believe that refers to the components "on the car"; basically the frame into which the screen locks ...

https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...INDSCREEN.html

I would say that the suncoast part is just a sheet of perspex plastic and pretty underwhelming IMO

Yes, similar but IIRC plexiglass... especially given the price.

Making one from plexiglass is on my to-do list.

Looks great. Hard to tell from the pics the difference in dimension between the high and low version. How does the high version you have compare to stock? Any chance you could post a side by side or overlay photo? Thanks!

Looks interesting. Thanks for posting. Can you still open and close the top with the high version in place? I don't see anything for the Spyder, but for the Fiat 124 Spider, it says, "The roof can be used with the low version", which implies that it can't with the high version. Does that also apply to the Spyder?

Interesting that you say the cabin noise is reduced. How noticeable do you think the difference in sound is? Thanks.

No roof problems with high version which is approximately 1.5 to 1.75 inches higher than Porsche mesh. I believe the higher version significantly reduces wind and therefore noise vs Porsche mesh. Crystal clear glass and no frame improves visibility.
Herr Reinhardt recommended the higher version which was the correct choice.
