Quick question, based on what you have heard of your freeze date is 21 days away, and you make a change. What are the odds of your eat delivery date changing?
I didn’t select the NAV option and now having second thoughts. Pretty sure I want it. I also don’t want to push out my date any farther, and can add it in later.
Lots of you mention TYD being inaccurate and car arrive before TYD even updates. This gives me hope since my TYD is stuck at Stage 1.
My question is whether Porsche North America call centre sees the same info as we do on TYD? I called them today and they said a dealer arrival of August 5th but production starts on 29th June. I dont believe they can start production and deliver car to Canada within 35 days!
Any thoughts welcome to ease this anxious mind... This is what my SA has given me almost a month ago.
It’s plausible. With all the shipping delays though, not probable. Dates can and do slip. I think 2-3 weeks window from what this shows is safe to base your expectations on based on what I’ve read in this thread.

I find it hard to believe that NAV would delay you order, it is essentially a software enablement , you should ask your SA. Personally I recommend it.

My car was in the Port of Houston 30 days after production; obviously Halifax would have been about 10 days quicker.
Very nice. I had to give up on PTS as the next batch is in September and the allocation wasn't going to be a certainty by then. That's one of the colors I considered. Went with GB, although im having second thoughts towards arctic gray.
Car arrives in September, and I bet it will sit waiting for EPA for a while.

I didnt add NAV either considering I will mostly be using the apple car play anyways. Any specific reason you recommend it? And can it be enabled after?

it can be enabled after the fact by the dealer and I found a way to DIY.
I had it in my 991.2, and reasons I liked it
1. Worked when I didn’t have cell coverage
2. I could set the distance viewed and it would keep that distance/zoom. Was helpful for navigating back roads and getting an idea of directions of upcoming corners and speed needed.

I will keep this short as there is a thread for this, but the quick answers are:
Integrated, no cell signal required, many features not active in car with out it, and yes it can be enabled by non-warranty processes and the dealer (expensive) after the delivery.
BGTS built 4/29 to 5/6, made it to Davisville RI 5/28, cleared Port inspection 5/31, still there waiting for a ride to the dealer in upstate NY (147 miles away).
so 35 days is certainly possible if the shipping aligns (8 days or so Emden to RI, assume Halifax is similar or shorter).
With a month left to my lock date, today came the epiphany that the car should be in a totally different color! Fun morning...
It'll lead to an interior spec re-evaluation too, so methinks the next few days will see some angst - I thought I was done with all of these decisions months/weeks ago.
Apparently, the supposedly anonymous post-purchase customer survey from Porsche HQ is immediately shared with the dealership verbatim. I got a call from the SA within 24hrs filling out the survey where I gave the experience 1 5/10, a few 7/10s, and a few 10/10s because they threatened me when pushing for add-ons at the last minute (for an ordered MSRP car) and confusion around notary service. I am personally fine with mandatory add-ons if they were disclosed ahead of time, so I felt giving them a single 5/10 is fair after they threatened to pull the car if I don't buy add-ons when we were supposed to complete the delivery paperwork after me waiting 9 months. The SA claimed I was ungrateful, slapped him in the face with the survey, and ruined his bonuses. The fun part is the transport got delayed for 3 days so the car is still at the dealership at this moment. I hope the very upset SA won't key it in vengeance. Anyway, be careful what you put on those surveys and any response that's not 10/10 might come back and bite you.
