Track Day
Hallleluja! My CGTS made it on the Glovis Summit bound for Benicia.
It's been a looong journey, so far: deposit placed April 2021, Allocation received December 2021, followed by delay after delay. TYD had me tied in knots. Now it's looking real! Safe travels Glovis Summit.

I also made it onto the Glovis Summit bound for Benicia, despite an "On Vessel" date of 6/17! Looks like it's gonna arrive in time for my 38th birthday.

Latest FNG arriving...
My wife and I stopped at the dealer with the intention of just looking around, figuring an allocation would not be available for delivery until 1Q23 or 2Q23. We were more than pleasantly surprised (so was the SA) that the dealer just received a new allocation for an August build and October delivery. ADM wasn't too bad given the market, so we wrote the deposit check and quick put a configuration together for a 2023 718 Cayman GTS 4.0.
Our order was accepted on 5/17, decided to pre-trade our 1991 911C2 and received a very fair price for it. Already changed the configuration once since being at the dealer and having a little additional budget to spend. After getting logged into TYD we learned our specific Change Freeze date is 7/21/22 with an estimated arrival of 10/21/22. Without further adieu: http://www.porsche-code.com/PPY7U881
It's not red, white, or black. We already did those, and we wanted to be a little under the radar so no yellow.
Around the Chicago Region she was known as RADAR RED:
She was a great car for 31 years. We already miss her.
I already know some will not like the interior, but we didn't want black, and a true medium grey is not available. (Agate has a brown tint)
Any suggestions/thoughts on the configuration are appreciated.
One thing the dealer did tell us it the electrically adjustable steering column is not available because of a harness that was made in Ukraine is not available. Did anyone else encounter this supply problem?
Thanks,
Greg

If you don't mind mentioning, what is the ADM you are paying? I paid a $5,000 ADM to build my Cayman GTS 4.0 that arrives in September!

My freeze date just got pushed back 10 days. Not sure if that actually changes final delivery date.

At any rate, it's just money.... and we can't take it with us when we go, so if it means you get into the car you want, then by all means Congrats on snagging an allocation.

Isringhausen in Springfield. I guess we could have spent a couple weeks chasing a better deal, but by then the allocation might have been gone. Balancing price, timing/allocation, trade-in, we might have saved $5k, but we might have got the car in March. In reality, the trade was the deal.
