Did you opt for the leather wheel and shifter instead of the Alcantara that comes by default? On the GT4 and Spyder, opting for the leather wheel/shifter causes you to lose the deviated stitching on both. The only way to get the leather wheel/shifter and the deviated stitching is to pay for the extended deviated stitching option.
If you have the Alcantara wheel/shifter, and you don’t have the deviated stitching there, Porsche ran out of thread 😃
Thanks for the info, to answer your question, yes I opted for leather. Saw a recent Spyder on YouTube similar to how I am specing mine and it was like you described. Thanks!
Do you mean the Porsche app on your phone? How do you load the car into it - it’s asking for a VIN I don’t have.
I’m curious what that might say for mine, I entered production in the 5th and was supposed complete CP8 today but finally this evening we lost a month and now completion date is estimated June 10th. Ugh.
I already had the Porsche app for my current 2017 cayman s, and just randomly I got a push notification alerting me that the gts 4.0 finished production. I’m not sure at what step of the process it’s normal to get info in the app, my sales guy didn’t seem to think I’d even get the track your dream status updates for a cayman.
My car is also on the Composer headed for Jacksonville; My TYD shows it entering port of Jacksonville on the 20th. Interesting. Do you think it will hit Jacksonville on the way to Houston or vice versa... hmmmm

Thanks, that is excellent news. Just a couple of more weeks before being transported to South Florida.
SFL Composer currently in the Gulf sailing at 16+kn towards Houston with a scheduled 5/16 arrival . I hope to have my car in hand next Friday. Seems like a dream.
Happy coincidence today. Had an appointment to sign papers, and lo and behold my car showed up moments before I arrived. Still won't be available for delivery for a couple weeks as the dealer is putting a wrap on the car as part of their mark up, but I was glad to have a look anyways. As others have said they look WAY better in person than they do in photos!! Can't wait to get this puppy on the track!!!

As is mine on the Siem Cicero. Just west of the Keys right now.
Well, I finally took delivery of my GT4 today. I went right from the dealership and did a good two hour drive into the country. The car feels absolutely amazing and has exceeded my expectations. It's a little strange getting used to a PDK (my left foot went to press on the imaginary clutch a few times. lol), but wow, the responsiveness and aggressive shifts feel amazing. When I got home, I couldn't help myself and went ahead and completed my first two mods - clear side markers and a 992 GT3 PDK shift **** conversion. Here are some departing pics. Good luck to everyone in the Official Waiting Room. Trust me, it will be worth the wait!!!
Congrats!! The shifter looks awesome. Do you mind if I ask where I can get that and if its self installable?

There is a thread on how to do it with the 992 GT3 shifter and then buying a GT4 manual boot. Or you can do what I'm doing and buy the GT4RS version but it only comes in the grey or blue stitching. I personally like the fact the GT4RS boot doesn't have the GT4 logo on the front of it however I have yellow deviated stitching in my car. Hopefully i'm able to live with the grey and save myself some money. If not I'll buy a yellow stitched shift boot in the future.

I do have speed blue stitching so may work out! I have a Spyder so should fit i think! Thanks!!
Was it easy?
I haven't done it yet personally. My car is still on the boat. That said looking at the thread about the mod it seems like a piece of cake if you are mechanically inclined.
Can anyone tell me how long the wait is at the Panama Canal currently?
Hestia Leader arrived at the canal on Tuesday 5/10. It’s been anchored, unmoving, ever since.
Originally scheduled to dock in San Diego on 5/19, it’s now been rescheduled to arrive on 5/23.
Vessel Tracker shows a large number of ships waiting north of the canal waiting to get through.
