FROZEN BERRY METALLIC?

Everyone wants a true GT car but it turns out that not everyone wants a true GT car..
My local just "got back" a GT4, with PCCBs, MSRP of $130k (lots of small options ordered...somebody took the time), with 1k miles on the clock SA said, "the owner was done with it". I've been hearing/seeing this a lot lately...people get them, try them, turn them in for something new.
Yep, "Everyone wants a true GT car but it turns out that not everyone wants a true GT car..."
Whoa! WAY OFF TOPIC! Sorry...
Frozenberry lip gloss. Right, right...

[color=#222222]..I think having owned a GT car, as in a coupe designed for the track Vs. a cab, they are INCREDIBLE machines but IMO in reality not good for day to day Porsche travel. I've driven a couple of 718 Spyders and the suspension is perfect. Fingers crossed, right?...
FWIW, also saw a 718 Spyder traded in for a base 911 recently...got to speak with owner, said he needed the extra space.
Back on topic, I'm sure Frozen Berry would look fine with some corporate logos:

Different strokes...I get it. However 650miles, 1,000 miles, damn...car isn't even really broken in yet (given reports of exhaust note changing after ~2,000, et al). I think I've done 1,000 miles past few weeks in my GT4...and that's only because I'm trying to keep the miles down because I'm thinking of selling, otherwise, I'd "daily". But not considering selling because of it not being streetable.

I find it funny whenever someone who's ripping on a color gets defensive when somebody rips on theirs. I don't take offense when people say GT Silver is ugly or boring.

Does anyone truly think GT Silver looks ugly though? I think you could blindly slap GT silver on any car on the planet and know that it will show up looking good in that color. I generally gravitate to buying most of my cars in that hue of silver.
Ironically though for GT cars I do agree GT silver is too boring. They get lost in the sea of half of all the 911s built since 99 being painted in that silver so imo GT cars stand out best as GT cars in white, or some crazy color.

While I love my GT Silver, I would have done Signal Yellow or Bahama if PTS was available when I ordered my car. Bahama with platinum satin wheels would be epic.

I love that Porsche is offering these types of colors as non-PTS options. The take rate will dictate whether it continues for a while. Look at the current popularity of a color like Rubystone now. I doubt it was a "popular" color at the time, but it has certainly had a resurgence in popularity today. Variety is the spice of life. It may not be for you, but it may stir someone's soul. Hats off to Porsche. Let's bring back all the jellybean colors of the 70's!

Frozen Berry = Avon Lady
Also those 911 Speedsters are pretty clunky looking IMO. I agree on the colour choice, it is nice to have so much selection and they should get some credit for that.

I never understood the draw of the speedster. Can you imagine explaining to your wife why you're dumping 500k on a used speedster instead of 120k on a new spyder. 99/100 people wont be able to tell what the difference is between it and a spyder, even after you explain it. "so they're both gt cars but aren't labeled as gt cars, they have humps and a stupid roof that is sorta awesome at the same time because it's like a tent, the power is about the same, the engine is the same size, and the interior is basically identical but you get two more gauge circles. well then the extra 400k must be because the suspension and brakes are totally different? well about that..........."

PAG is doing it wrong.
They should make some special run of say 1000 frozen berry cars with the engines taken off the conrod fiasco. Do some minor engine mods. Increase the red line by 500 rpm. Different wheels. Slap a $10,000 price hike.
Call it whatever special the PR department wants to spin it.
Then everybody will be salivating for one.
