My local just "got back" a GT4, with PCCBs, MSRP of $130k (lots of small options ordered...somebody took the time), with 1k miles on the clock SA said, "the owner was done with it". I've been hearing/seeing this a lot lately...people get them, try them, turn them in for something new.
I am so happy with my car I couldn't imagine doing that, but then again, I have been working my way up for the last 15 years, started off in a base 986 Boxster, the Spyder is incredible (at least to me).

Everyone wants a true GT car but it turns out that not everyone wants a true GT car...

My buddy has a GT4 in Python Green, the colour in person is amazing, very few pictures can do it justice.
I will go out on a limb with out even seeing the colour in person but I would have ordered if it was available last year for my Spyder... Shark Blue!

This was one of the photos taken during a Driver Skills day in a gray Seattle day but the photo represents how the car presented in person. This is a car owned by a fellow Rennlist member that posts here as well:

I bet you're right there, it probably is a color targeting other markets like China. Japan too. When I was looking at 911s for sale in Japan it seemed like 10-20% of the 964s and 993s were a variation of pink, and always with an autotragic transmission too.

Frozen Berry may be awful, but it's still nowhere near as bad as Porsche's worst color ever, Ipanema Blue. Though I think both of those colors will appeal to the same people.

That's hideous. But at least it does look like it's some kind of special paint. IMO, Python looks like a rattle can green from Home Depot. Like, 'I really like green but I can't afford to do a special green paint job so I just went with Krylon.' Just my opinion. I get that color is personal.

I've owned all of one "unique" colored Porsche which was virtually impossible to sell. Since then it's been black, white, silver, grey with the exception of a blue Lotus.

Can you define "unique"?
My previous GT4 was Racing Yellow and had quite a few prospects saying....."Would take it now if the color wasn't yellow"...and I think the GT4 in RY looks awesome.
Black, white, silver and grey will net you the largest pool of prospect, but then...I don't buy cars for the next owner, even if it means a slower sale down the road.

Go see it in person , you never know, it may grow on you! But it's not for everyone.

That reminds me of an Acura RL I purchased a long time ago...it was grey but had this little touch of purple.......same thing, looked great on the showroom but then it was a problem selling it.
My dealer had a 991.2 GT3 in Mint Green...they gave me an excellent offer on it but couldn't get pass the color and probably would have an even bigger problem than with the GT4, decided to wait for the 718
