Great Thread. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I just placed my order today for a new GT4. And I now have a 2018 BMW M2 for sale. I love the car and it has been perfect. When I got home from the dealership today and saw the car in the garage I had a little moment of remorse knowing the M2 must go. But reading your thread restored my faith that I am doing the right thing and will not look back with regret. I certainly hope that is true.

Five years ago I finally got my GT4 and I still love it. I don’t drive it all the time, which helps to keep it special. I am just selling a great 981 CS I’ve had for six years and expecting a brand-new BMW M2C to arrive next month (after a lifetime of Audis and Porsches lately, it’ll be my first BMW). I know it’s not a GT4–or even a 981 CS—but I am hoping it’ll be a fun, sporty MT car with back seats that’s a little less of an “event” showing up anywhere in it than any two-door Porsche.
if not, I know it’s one of the last M2Cs being built in the world and I should be able to get out of it relatively unscathed.

Enjoy your Ne incoming BMW.
I've had my fair-share of BMWs, Mercedes, Audi's and a heck of a lot of the Domestic USA cars/trucks.
There's No-Wrong decision just simply which one we want to try-out next.
Terry

Here is one of the special places I can drive to. It's within 30 minutes from me. Picture was taken yesterday (Saturday - June 26).

TIMBER!!
I was just playing around the edit feature on the iPhone. Pictures were taken after a casual PCA event at a brewery 75 miles away.
This one makes my car look like Chalk.

Maintenance Wash
What products and process do you use during your maintenance washes? All products used are from the RL sponsor DetailersDomain.com.
(Car has Xpel PPF and was coated with Modesta BC-08.)
Here are the products I normally use:
- Nanolex Wheel Cleaner
- Nanolex Insect Remover
- Foam Cannon with Fictech Bubble
- The Rag Company washmit
- Sonax Spray and Seal Or Nanolex SiSplash (Post rinse while wet)
- Beer break while Sonax marinates (not from DD)
- The Rag Company XL drying towel
- Aenso Gleam (used as drying agent) with The Rag Company L drying towel
- Nanolex Glass (dried with paper shop towels)
- Aenso Orbit for tires

Another PCA Event
Well, due to COVID, the Taycan launch from our local dealer was delayed. It was originally scheduled in March and was pushed to July.
My PCA chapter was there to support the dealership during the event which was hosted at a local winery. This is the 5th PCA event in 4 weeks that I have attended.
(I usually park far away from everyone. When the dealer saw me, they asked me to move my car up front.)

STEK Dynoflex Windshield PPF
For the longest time, I have been waiting for the proper windshield PPF to get to the market. Finally decided to pull the trigger on the STEK Dynoflex.
It does not require heat or stretching when applying. Start to finish application is very quick. Cure time is 24 hours.
Initial impressions have been very very positive. My view from inside is very clear. From my understanding, the film is self-healing and is also coated.
Maintenance seems very low based on the instructions I was provided. This was a definite addition on top of the Xpel PPF that was already on the body.
Installation time was a little over an hour (if you take away all the talking and customer walk-ins).
Prep with the film on the table...
Final cleaning stage...
Done!
Closer look...
Pre-departure picture.

Thanks for that review! I wanted to try it but couldn’t make it happen before my deadline so I went with Clearplex. Will definitely try Dynoflex. Since it doesn’t require a template like Clearplex, I wonder if it’s a good candidate for the 993.
Any special cleaning instructions? Expected life span?
