GT4 PDK vs 991.1 GT3 PDK

I can't notice any difference on the upshift compared to my 991.2 GT3. I thought that the rev-matching was a bit more aggressive on the downshift in the GT3, but I haven't driven the GT4 on track yet. Might be that the engine in the GT3 revs faster and that is the main reason, not the PDK itself. Great gearbox.

I find no difference in how the PDK works in both cars.......

Interesting....although, night and day different cars and purposes. Being more fun is certainly relative.... and guessing it was primarily due to the manual.

A few good data points showing up; even if I don't respond, I'll be monitoring the input as it comes. Keep 'em coming.
So far, they seem largely positive -> GT4 PDK will behave almost indistinguishably like a GT3 PDK. I especially want to know if anyone notices any greater delay between commanded upshift or downshift and the transmission's response between the two. Doesn't seem to be the case, but I also know that not all DCTs (and tuning) are created equal.
Given my history when I have flappy paddle available, I'll be driving 99.8% of the time in whatever is the most aggressive manual mode. I want fast shifts, shifts that respond immediately to my command (no converting my command into a request that's subject to approval by committee vote before executing; I'm talking directly at the mental gymnastics Tadge used when explaining why the 8l90 was an appropriate transmission for the C7Z... or to my Raptor's 10 speed), and for the reasons detailed by @Dale Allen , I want to command shifts as opposed to driving in auto mode, especially on the street. I'm an old school 3 pedal guy.
Actually Dale hit almost exactly what's going on in my head on all fronts. As I have at least a couple months before lock, although I'm 95% going to do the 718 GT4 if I get the privilege, I'm slightly cross shopping a 991.1 GT3 with the 781 GT4 as, when it's not grenading, I love the 9kRPM GT3 engine, its looks, its PDK, its handling. But I think the GT4 is incredible for the reasons Dale listed. Optimized for a driver's car, mid engined. If only they installed a 9kRPM engine... it'd probably be a 20 year car for me.

In PDK sport mode (718) I would describe it as immediate, explosive, aggressive but not jerky in a way that would cause you to bypass it. The transmission in my Mercedes GLE is jerkier even in comfort mode. SInce discovering the engine runs around 20 degrees cooler in sport I always have it there and no complaints for everyday driving.

See the below Video that was as of yesterday.
Not in English but makes really no difference as all you want to see is the use of the PDK transmission.

Found the vid I was looking for; reposting it in this thread in case it comes up in a search in the future.
Looks like this car will be a riot with the PDK. If I don't lose the allocation due to stop sale, mine's going to be a PDK car.

Not for pretty much everything other than the launch control scene. He's slick with the inputs.
And yep, this is what I was looking for.
