The perfectionist OCD in me also made me walk, and wait another year for an identical car. I can be a patient man.
Yeah, this is a trying situation for everyone affected, regardless of which direction one takes. I'm typically not patient or tolerant of much when it comes to most things, but in this case I held out for quite some time before pulling the plug. Not saying that's the right answer for everyone, but I just couldn't take the frustration any longer. I realized I was getting VERY upset about the whole mess, including my inexplicable desire to possess this physical object. In the end I had to remind myself (many times) that it's just a car, plain and simple. I will get a new itch soon enough. Hopefully things will have normalized by then, and I can scratch it with much less excitement and drama.
Very nice build. My order is GT Silver with Luxor Beige/Black and black door handles and black spoiler. I got word today that my car has had its engine replaced (at Jacksonville port) and its waiting in a long line for alignment.

Here is my original build code: PM5PDUU1 - Porsche shot me down on my desire for PCCBs but the rest of the build is same. I really like the GTM silver - its a great rich color. But typical black interior isnt me. I like the lighter tone.
Today Porsche sent an e-mail allowing me to connect my future GT4 to the Porsche Connect app. The car has been at the Port of Houston since March 25th. I've read here that some are already leaving Houston repaired. I'm hopeful that the car may soon be shipped. If so, receiving that e-mail may be a good indicator to those waiting that the end is near. I know that some manual cars are having the shift cables coming off with zip ties being the quick fix to get them to stay. Hopefully they are zipping the cable ends while the cars are being put back together. Thanks for all the useful info everyone has provided over the months we've been waiting. It has certainly made it easier.

Just received word from my SA that my engine came in today as well! Will be picking it up next week! V200 1/8/21. V300 2/1/21. Too bad my Kline FBO exhaust system is not here yet , but that's a minor inconvenience in the whole scheme of things. Hope everyone who's waiting for theirs will get them soon!
I picked up mine today. Was supposed to take delivery the 3rd week of March. The car is better than I expected, but there is definitely some wear and tear from sitting at the port. Nothing that can’t be fixed. Inspect your car carefully!
