FYI...I just received word from Jason Nelson that my new engine will arrive at the dealership next week! "The repair itself will take about 2 days but because the dealer needs to get new labels to match the new engine number and there is a verification process they need to complete I would expect about a week and a half for the work to be finalized."

The fix date was estimated to be September-October based on being near the end of the line of the undelivered cars sitting at port. I was told the allocation made available to me is an October build with November delivery. My SA was out yesterday so I expect to wrap up the details today, but I don't have reason to doubt this, as several have posted in the last few days about new MY22 allocations with builds starting as early as July.

That is great to hear!
Would you mind reminding us your different milestones dates?
Like order date, allocation, lock in date, etc... ?
Thank you very much!

However, I do get the 2022 for the same price as the 2021 (I looked at the new prices and I think the difference for my exact build is around USD 1,200), and I also get the first service for free (I actually counter-offered with this instead of requesting the cash payment so that it would be a win/win :-). ...
Note that the first service is free for all Porsches.

This is not true, IIRC only in the US...

Certainly not in Canada!

Is this only for the cars from the stop sales order or for all Porsches in general? I'm asking about US only.

It will show in the appropriate configurator on the summary page, has nothing to do with the Stop Sale...

For those of you affected by the recalls, I've updated the car database with two new data points to capture if you're affected by the suspension and/or con rod recall and what your decision is with the engine solution. If you care to share your decision, please let me know and I'll update the spreadsheet. Below is a link to the thread.

Jason emailed me the same thing. I scheduled the engine swap for 5/24/21 so hopefully my dealership can fix the car during the week and have the labels with matching engine numbers by then.
I don't want to miss the Tail of the Dragon next weekend.

Ahhhh. I didn't know they made a distinction. I stand corrected. The first service is free (more like included, ie, prepaid I'm sure!) in the US. (Nothing is free!)

Hi HalfMonkey,
I started another spreadsheet for tracking the repair/replace details, but if you are going to have it in your spreadsheet, that is what I prefer. Thanks.

So, Dan...it sounds like you already had received your car...is that correct? Very happy for you!

No problem. Not trying to step on your toes but wanted to at least note the situation for those affected. I'll leave the data points as just the two I added unless other people really want something else added.
