Stop Sale on 718 GTS, Spyder & GT4
#1712
Officially ? no stop yet (if you forget about the stop delivery and chip supply issues), but I think that the GT4RS will end the production of these cars in early 2022 (so it will end with the MY2022).

Beautiful spyder at the dealership, waiting for a heart transplant. It was glad I stopped by today, got to see a Cayman, Boxster and Sypder - they look so much better in person. This is one of 4 affected cars at my dealership, and since this one is sitting there I’m sure its first in line. I’m sure the owner of this car, was wishing he/she had it on this beautiful west coast day.
Also the floor was pretty empty. My SA said they’ve got almost nothing to sell and the chip shortage is really affecting them. He also offered to buy my car if I didn’t want it LOL.

Note* it was a Sold-Unit that's why it was Locked.
What I Really-really liked was how small the GT4 was when seen in person.
In my case I didn't want a big car done been there way to many times in the past.
That White GT4 was similar to Cathy's VW Golf R in overall size.
I was glad I got to see one in person.

Rec'd & deposited my $4K check from Porsche last Friday. They already sent me a voucher # for $1K at their driving ctr. Porsche have fulfilled their promises thus far-now just waiting on a new engine later this month. So far, so good.

Depending how long this chip shortage last. I wouldn’t be surprised they end Spyder/GT4 production as MY23, instead of MY22.
These cars are cash cows for Porsche. Although they’re not cranking them out in large quantities, I would imagine they had planned to produce X to make it cost effective. And with engine and chip delays, it would be very probably to add an extra year to cover the limited production we’re seeing now.

My advice is to not wait around, contact your dealer and if they fail you contact Porsche directly. One guy in the Canadian group didn’t get contacted because the dealer gave the wrong email address to Porsche, all the while telling him “to be patient”. Looks like you’re in the USA, the contact info for Porsche is in this thread.
