TPMS failure 21 GT4

Bummer, no issues yet on my Spyder, for track I don't have the system relearn the new pressures and just ignore the too low display that pops up every so often. As for relearning the PITA is waiting for 5 or so mins for the flashing yellow to go out before moving along. I've switched out track and OEM wheels multiple times with no issues but will track this thread in case it's just a matter of time.

We might be in the same boat.
I "played" with the track settings for the tires today.
I wasn't sure what was actually going on.
I put the tires into "track mode" and did "Apply new pressure".
I wasn't sure if I was supposed to apply new cold pressure, or new hot pressure. I think I ended up doing both (cold first, then hot). After setting the "new pressure" as the hot pressures, I started getting this error.
It still hasn't gone away. We'll have street pressures in the AM, so I might try to reset things before we go back to CotA in the morning.

My .2GT3RS had exactly the same problem in the first few months........
It required a reflash from the dealer, and it solved the problem
Cheers!

Same thing on my BGTS 4.0 last month. Happened about 5 days after delivery. Took it in and they reflashed the software and it’s been fine since.
very strange for this to happen, must be a glitch in the matrix

I had this happen once and luckily after turning the engine off/restart cleared. It was on my winter set.

Let's say I drove 'briskly'. 😉 The wife basically forced me to do a few sessions this weekend at CotA.
The car had totally stock 'as delivered' settings, and definitely needs some suspension tuning. She has the pilot sport cup 2s.
I was consistently in the high 2:20s, the wife (she has less experience than I) was able to pull consistent 2:37s. Since the car was new, she didn't want to push it too hard.
We still have the error with the TPMS although it did reset while I was on track and had a red tire warning for low pressure with 32 hot in the rears. But then it went all wonky again once I came back to the garage.

OK, reading the manual (yeah... I know... but, in my defense, the Good to Know app should have this information) it appears that there is a lower limit of 26 lbs when you set your pressures for the track.
We were shooting for about 32 hot on the rears and maybe 30 hot for the fronts. That meant 25 cold in the front and 25 cold in the rear.
Maybe that messed up the system?

No. The System is flawed. Mine failed once when I fiddled around with the settings between winter and summer tires prior to changing pressures. Once you get the malfunction screen you are screwed. My dealer initially said "you can bring it in in 3 weeks". That being unacceptable at any level, they found a "bring it in in one week" slot. 4 days later I got the car back without the irritating amber tire light. The second time was just on a cold morning where it claimed the left side tires only were both exactly 4 psi low. This was not the case as I know how to use a tire gauge. When trying to relearn again. Failure Failure total failure. If I don't get any resolution regarding this technical bulletin TI 4432. I am going to call the NHTSA and report this. This is not a minor squeak or buzzing speaker. This is a major safety system of the car.

I spoke to soon, mine failed this morning. Thanks for the PDF from above, maybe I can send that to my Porsche dealer and just get in and out quickly.

it *might* be worth getting a (cheap) TPMS relearning tool to try and get the TPMS themselves to "relearn"- just a thought.

So mine was really weird today. As I said, it failed when I started it for my AM commute. I ran an errand on lunch and half way into a twenty mile drive it started to work again. When I started it to go home from work, it flashed the error right away and then went away/started working again about two miles later. Curious what it will do in the morning again. Very odd, guess I’ll take it in and see what they say.

The wife's car is at the dealership. They are planning on replacing the wheel sensors. Somehow I think this isn't going to fix it.
They did give us a Macan while we wait. Unfortunately my wife likes it. "It's a great run around town car." Ugh.
