Procedure for GT4 allocation/deposit?

Your best bet IMO is to find a dealer that has a history of ED, and have a conversation with them about placing an ED order later this year, assuming that ED is resumed by then, and that there is a MY22 production.
You could talk to Brett Payne @ Marin, James Shin @ Stevens Creek or maybe C.J Wilson out in Fresno?

He is still waiting for the word from Porsche, as is all US dealers. Porsche NA has not released 2022 GT4 allocations yet. Only Porsche NA knows when they will release them. Should be soon though, as they have updated their website with the 2022 model year as well as a price increase.

I see, so your goal here is to call SA's liars or just to start drama?
You need to see the big picture. I don't think SA's (for the most part) are lying, they are relying what they are being told from their rep. at Porsche NA. I do not think my SA has any ill intention, he is waiting just like the rest of us, it's a supply chain. When Porsche releases them, he will let me know and I will start my order process.
Between the recalls, circuit board shortages, supply chain issues, etc. we are all at the mercy of the supply/production chain.
I'm not worried, it will happen when it happens. I suspect within the next month, but if not, not a big deal, it will at some point. The anticipation will just make it that much sweeter when that time comes to take delivery. I am planning to make a whole weekend trip out of it. Something to look forward to later this year, even if it ends up being a Xmas present.

I guess all we really know is no one has posted getting an actual commission number yet.
I'm guessing the engine problems delayed MY22 allocations getting green lit, because a month ago my understanding is they should have been green lit a week+ ago.

I have done a lot of business at dealers over the years and yes, many lie and tell customers what they want to hear. Many do not even read the owner's manuals and customers often know more about the vehicles than the sales people do. And they could simply read about what it going on via the Internet but many are too lazy to that. If I had a dollar for every "my SA told me..." post that I have read here...

OP, you’re showing up way late to the 718 GT4/Spyder production. While not Porsche numbered cars, they’re not walk in and order cars either.
Several RL’rs have been looking for an allocation for awhile.
If you want a build slot better work hard or find a broker. There is an allocation thread you should review.
Short of paying $30-50K over, your chance of getting a new GT4RS is less than zero.

Porsche Plano wants $20k ADM for a GT4 as of today. I want to order a GT4 to replace my .1 GT3 RS. Seems going backward i know but i love the GT4 and want to order one before they stop building. I ain't paying no ADM though.

I'm going to order an aftermarket set of floor mats for daily beater duties and put the originals away. Can one of you lovely people who has taken delivery confirm the colour of the carpet please? I can't tell from the photos whether its dark grey or black.
