About 200 dealerships in US..how many 718 GT cars for sale new/used? Few dozen...its gonna tighten up as the end comes.

This is not about the spyder but I'm in the process of buying a brand new 21 S from a dealer (pay cash)
Anyone can give me a ball park % I can try get off from the OTD price? The car market being so hot right now, I don't want to **** off the salesman with a lowball offer.

Nope I get it, just a funny negotiation, I had one used/one new same options/color's etc and the used had a 10K ADM, I am going to buy the new one at MSRP. SMH. While I remember what went on with the 981 spyders (hard to get) Porsche being not so shy on production on this run in 718 seems like there are massively more for sale then in 2017 when I had my 981. God bless the dealers, they will probably get it.

when a used car is listed above sticker , it is not an ADM, it is just a reflection of current market value of the car that is dependent on supply and demand
a lot of times the dealer is buying these cars around sticker
I had couple of GT cars that I bought at sticker and sold back to dealer couple of years later at sticker and the dealer listed and sold above sticker
and that is not unique to Porsche , when my kids were young , they liked STI and every two years I buy one below sticker and sell back to dealer for same price I bought and the dealer will sell it used for sticker or above . I did that for several years

Very common and laughable. Invariably the same stealerships. Check the Peoria IL dealer.

agreed John. Hard to argue market price is above MSRP when new are selling at MSRP and there are clear substitutes. I'm used the the GT car bs, and even used over MSRP but not when I can go buy a new one similar spec at MSRP. That's the odd part. I get it if the new one's had ADM's on them as well because there was so much spyder demand but between the 4.0 GTS and spyder inventory these cars aren't hard to find. Porsche ultimately getting listed away from VW also suggests they will push volume on anything with high margins. pitt911 I get your point, but that is the point when cars are truly scarce with no readying substitutes. I don't remember a bunch of "special GT cars" new sitting on lots at MSRP when my GT2rs or GT3rs were trading above MSRP. Good luck to the dealers, they very well may get it if demand is strong but if demand is so strong why are they inventorying new spyders? Should be all allocated and sold out. Then I get the secondary market at a premium. I go back to Cherry smashing that Signal Yellow PTS that was on the dealer floor at MSRP. II'll stop my pontificating, doesn't matter the market will sort it out, I just find it interesting.

Drove it 6 months, better than some. Likely never left the state, traded to selling dealer. MT for the tax savings.
$1600 over msrp, dreamer pricing.

It appears that CJ's dealership sold that car, which is odd given I understand the State is cracking down on dealers that aid in the Montana tax dodge. If it was one of those things.

Actually four months and just under 600 miles. I'll bet most GT4 buyers put that on their car in the first weekend.

100% that's what went on. Yes Cali dealers don't want to deal w/ Montana LLC's anymore.
