6MT 1st to 2nd gear grind (Poll)

6MT 1st to 2nd gear grind (Poll)
So the grind at >4.5K rpm shift from 1st to 2nd gear seems pretty common regardless of build date. But hopefully it disappears after some break-in, so please select the range when the grinding actually DISAPPEARED.

I have not participated in this as my car has barely reached 300 miles and has not been rev'ed above 3800 RPM, I. have never heard / felt a grind so my experience so far may be an outlier. However I would be interested in these metrics:
Assuming that the transmission is warmed up properly how are the shifts being performed?
Are the shifts being done in a deliberate easy manner?
Are the shifts being done in a 'speed shift' manner?
Occurrences on up-shifts or down-shifts?
What are the RPM ranges that the shifting is being done at?
if any of these metrics are consistent with the continuance /reduction/ disappearance of the grinding or total lack of it maybe this would help clarify things, if we had all this information in one place?

This poll is for folks where the grinding stopped happening, to prove out he theory that it’s just let of the break in. There are many folks that have had this issue consistently since day one, including me, and now interested to see roughly when it stopped happening.

For those that have select no grinding since the beginning, how have you been shifting from 1st to 2nd? Did you ever tried to quickly change gears? It seems to happen to folks, including myself, who shifts very very quickly from 1st to 2nd.

So what if it stopped happening after 200mi? I imagine more break-in issues get resolved within the first couple of hundred miles especially when these cars are generally driven a little harder. Mine hasn't really have it happen after the 400mi mark and I've noticed that the engagement point of the clutch on this car might've contributed more to throwing me off on the 1-2 shift where it's much tighter of a throw. It was different on the 981 GT4 where the clutch was heavier and it engaged a tiny bit higher up on the pedal release.

Took another drive today. It now has 450 miles and within 20-25 miles of driving, it happen twice, but again only when I shifted very quickly. I do, however, shift with the palm on the right side when shifting 1-2 and palm at top when shifting 3-4 and the rest of the gears. Going to try to do palm on top 1-2 next.
Never had this issue regardless of how I gripped in my old 718 GTS, but it did have 10K miles when I bought it. I also installed numeric shifter right after I got it, which made shifting much more precise and smooth.

Gear grind during 1-2 shift happened to me occasionally but never when shifting below 3-3.5k rpm. I thought it was maybe early clutch engagement but it happened even with a very slow shift with the clutch fully depressed and letting the rpms drifting to idle. It was cringe-inducing because on previous manual cars I may have experienced grinding like that maybe once every few years, usually from operator error. This forum put me at ease that it wasn’t just poor technique. I tried the trick of pulling straight back from 1st but occasionally went into 4th, putting an end to the fun real quick. I experienced gear grinding about 4 times the first 400 miles, only once since —I’m at ~900 miles. Not sure if it’s the breaking in or an avoidance of more aggressive 1-2 shifts that has led to the decreased incidence.

The other thing is that for the first 2000km the gear shift from 1 to 2 had a lot more resistance, which has is now much smoother after 4000km, i also haven’t had a single gear grind after 4000km.
