It adds unwanted, horrible fake noise to the cabin.

Straight ahead, well on the right pass side of the engine bay. This is in a 2021 GT4 PDK

Soon I will be installing a bad *** exhaust system on the spyder. Its prob gonna be loud enough without additional fake noise on top of that. I disconnected this tube in my aston also, and that had crap tons if sound deadening unlike the spyder. Exhaust note inside was really nice.

It’s not fake, and sounds pretty good I think. I don’t see what’s wrong with induction sound from the intake.

The Soundaktor is fake and horrible. The Sound Symposer is real and piped in but IMO shouldn't be. Let the car talk to you as it should.

This thread is about the 4.0L models with the sound symposer tube. People like hearing the engine, induction, and exhaust sounds, but regulations prohibit loud exhausts, and sound insulation meant to reduce road noise also keeps those sounds out. If you can’t have a loud exhaust legally, and need some degree of sound insulation, but still want to hear the engine clearly, then acoustically letting in pressure waves in the intake is the best thing that can be done, and it sounds great to me. Much better than having the engine isolated and sounding like a Camry in a sports car.

You are correct. Soundaktor in the subject threw me off.
