Thank you @halfmonkey . Very much appreciated!

It may sound ridiculous.. wifey and I built a bracket and started with 16 colours, and began the process of narrowing the options down. The final 4 were Gold Bronze Metallic, Gemini Blue Metallic, Pastel Orange, and Mint Green.

I was able to see all 4 of the colours in person before locking the order, but the Mint car was a 992 GT3. It just didn't work on that body design, and I became worried but I went for it anyway. I really felt that Mint was better suited to the 718 body lines with the scoops and cuts on the side. It washed out on GT3 with a 'slab side' look. I did review Jade Green in detail, but I still felt Mint was better for the Cayman.

Recently, my dealer received their PTS sample kit and I was able to compare the two greens in person. See picture. Mint on the left, and Jade on the right. Sport Classic Grey was the 'coffee beans' to split up the two.

@JBM718GTS -- very cool on the 'play-off' you and your wife completed to choose Mint Green. As an owner of a Gemini Blue Spyder, you chose the right color for your GT4.

Part 2, I agree the 718 can wear certain colors better than the 992. My eyeballs prefer the more saturated colors on the smaller scale car.

What does seat CXX cost? And where is the catalog for CXX options? I've only found the XV* catalogues online.

There isn’t a CXX catalogue.

You request special wishes through your dealer and they work with the Exclusive rep for feasibility and cost.

With that being said, there seems to be some known standard quotes.

Last I checked, touch a seat and it’s USD 9,XXX.

Strip on the WP RS hood USD 9,XXX

Recently appears Porsche announced minimum CXX items at USD 10,000.

Good luck, need a pro active dealer and an allocation far in the future

Yikes, well that's plenty of info to not worry about it then.

Went to pay for my car today before it gets shipped off to PPF. This shade is jet green metallic and looks even better in person.

Ash...Looks BEAUTIFUL with the Satin Aurum wheels and Hi Gloss Black calipers. Nicely done! How long did you have to wait for a PTS allocation on your Spyder?

Merry Christmas!

Thanks Jim, I appreciate the kind words.

I didn’t really wait for PTS just my actual allocation which was basically 1 year. When I spec’d the car originally so the dealer could place a demand order the car was going to be gentian blue which I was super happy with. Then when the actual allocation came through I asked about PTS and he said we could try but I only had 2 weeks to complete the spec. From there it went to Porsche and they approved the build and here we are 20 months later!

Merry Christmas to you as well

Wow! You were SO fortunate on that one!! Getting a PTS allocation on a Spyder is VERY RARE. And fun to see. Drive your Spyder like you stole it!! Mine puts a big smile on my face every time I drive it. The 6-speed MT with Auto-Blip is such a blast!! Enjoy!
