Finally getting my convertible after a few years search for something good, and wondered what people use for products to clean and/or protect the top? (I plan to ceramic the top) Also, any dos or don'ts when it comes comes to washing? (ie keep soap away from it, careful with pressure washer etc)

303 cleaner and protectant for the win along with a good horsehair brush as others have said. Don't touch it with a cloth as it will pull lint like crazy. Ask me how I know.

I used the GYEON fabric coating on my 981 BGTS, and the water beading was insane - plan to look into it again when I receive my Spyder.
We took my dad's M2 to ESOTERIC in New Albany, OH to get corrected and ceramic coated, and they turned me onto the GYEON fabric coat. These guys are awesome...just a lot longer drive for me from Dallas to Ohio (as compared to Indy for my pops), or I would be taking the Spyder there!

Not the same based on my own experiment of RaggTop VS Porsche Tequipment Product.
RaggTop (top) looks better/blacker than Porsche
Water beading is much better with the Porsche product. RaggTop on the left, Porsche on the right

I am guilty of not reading all posts. We’ve had our 2014 C4S since Dec 2015. I never use soap, etc on the top. I flood it with water and use a soft horsehair brush to loosen any remaining dirt. I finish by brushing front to rear. Once a year I will use Raggtop cleaner, then dry, then follow the general consensus re applying Raggtop sealer. I’ve been using the “hand wipe” technique to “push” the sprayed material into the canvas. I use a full can, drying between coats. Here is a photo of the top as it exists today, 5.5 years later. Again, I never use cleaner on the top during washes, only a soft brush, plenty of water, and a wipe from front to back while damp.
5.5 years of gentle cleaning - the only mark is from the fold.
