You don't have to get the metal rod ends. I personally didn't. The cables definitely make a weird vibrating noise almost like the computers back in the 90's loading sound. To correct it, my installer wrapped a bunch of Dynamat around the cables. Can't hear anything now @usctrojanGT3
I don't find the Numeric cables to be noisier than stock cables, probably because I also paid for the silicone tubing they sell. I did not go for the metal rod ends. This is a great upgrade to the car.

Metal Rod Ends are recommended for track cars, that are bit noisier. But our regular rod ends, for street cars are aluminum and secure on with a plastic grommet to not add any extra noise!
