I agree, my daily driver (30k a year) did get a swap of airfilters (BMC) and ECU tune (for running RON 102) the moment I didn't used it for daily runs.
And yes, it's very noticable, but for maintaince you must either like swapping filters (and cleaning, takes time or a second pair) or use the regular airfilters.

If you know your air will be clean, then you may as well drive filter-less. You just carry the oem filter in the glovebox to put it in before you drive through the occasional construction zone or behind a dirt truck, then take it out.

IMO its not worth cleaning these filters - bin them and get new ones ...

that sucks - just FYI the BMC filters worked perfectly with the OEM screws....did you remember to take off the rubber seals from the OEM and place them on the new ones? - I forgot to do this 1st time ...

Are you saying that the RS uses BMC filters? IF so, that is interesting and tells me that Porsche puts a lot of faith in their quality.

YouTube videos show BMC and K&N with great airflow but practically no filtering.

This post is not meant to be some Wise-*** comments from me.
Just useful information.

Here are some images for you on the Verus components included with their filters.
Plus watch the install video below from Flat 6 Motorsports.

Cayman Air Filter Install (How-To) - By Flat 6 Motorsports

I did also consider the BMC filter but after more research between the oiled versus Dry filters.
And talking with Jon Swift (Owner) at Flat 6 MOTORSPORTS.
I went with the Dry Verus filters.

BMC
HIGHEST QUALITY

The BMC air filter is composed of a metallic mesh covered by an oiled multilayer cotton filtration material.
This guarantees a high level of filtering efficiency and a limited loss of air pressure.
The oil used gives the material its “sticky” adhesive characteristic which aids in the retention of air impurities, without compromising or blocking air flow penetration.
This also creates a continuous filtering process.
The cotton filtrating element is contained within an external support frame which interfaces with the air box and allows it to be securely installed in the air-box.
Every stage of the production process (from design to manufacturing) is carried out in Italy by Italian engineers using the finest materials.

I used BMC and they snapped the lugs ! , screws too long, I see Virus supply shorter screws :-)

I also had BMC in my 991.2 GT3 they were 991.2 RS parts.

I had no such problems when I did the BMC install with OEM screws

odd, they are def too long, you get a gap in the filter then you goto turn a few more turns to close the gap and snap off come the lugs.

funny how Versus have used smaller screws. I bet yours lugs have cracked it's unavoidable !
