Silver hides dust/dirt MUCH better than black. Anyone that has owned both knows this.
I've owned both and this I do not know. I think most people would say that black does a better job, but I think they both look like crap covered in brake dust.
BTW, why did you ask if you already knew the answer?
I was at San Diego Porsche yesterday and they had one with silver wheels.IMO it was to bright and didn't go well with black trim. BTW they have 4 cars available all with 10K ADM. One of them was 148K including ADM. Crazy!
Absolutely insane! If they had one GT4, maybe they could justify that because "supply and demand." But with four (4!)?! Maybe they'll drop the ADM for returning customers but this is laughable.

Wheels painted in body color or bust!!! (Just kidding...silver contrasts well bc of the dark paint but like others have said, black looks surprisingly nice with GB....and I hate black wheels)
And how was I supposed to know that, given we're discussing wheel colors?
Makes no difference. It's just more common knowledge that black cars are the hardest to keep looking clean. Black paint shows dust and dirt much easier than silver/platinum whether on car panels or wheels. Now if you rough up the surface to make it less shiny and look dirty no matter what, then yes, black would "hide" the dirt better but only because it looked dirty even when it was clean.
Everyone entitled to their opinion of course, but I'll simply fire back on the Aurum comment with this...maybe better to say Aurum is not the boring choice...so I guess not for everybody.
I voted Aurum. Gentian is a classy and at least in my opinion a conservative colour and the Aurum to me gives it a supplementary punch. I went conservative as well... white (CWM), but used the seatbelt option in sharp contrast to achieve something similar.
The contrast of the red calipers on the Aurum furthers the impact. 4midable... hats off to you, as I think the red cage ties everything together even that much further. However without the cage coordination I'd still vote Aurum regardless.
I picked silver for my GTS 4.0 Although I know black is usually a GTS signature, against the GB I think the silver adds just the right amount of brightness and sets off a balance between the black front/rear and the black GTS 4.0 door ident. and the black intakes. I think silver wheels also works with Aventurine Green IMO
Yummy! The black goes with the GTS trademarks. The blue top has a contrast with the GB. If you went with the blue top and a graphite blue leather you would have 3 closely related blues with out a lot of clash. lighter blue interior, GB body and darker blue top. you really can't go wrong with either top color IMO.
^I'd replace the silver interior trim with the GB exterior trim. That would bring the GB exterior inside and would contrast the lighter Graphite Blue nicely.
