Default Poll: Best looking wheel color for Gentian?

This is for a GTS 4.0 Boxster but should apply to all other 4 liter 718s. Purely from a looks aspect. I personally tend towards Platinum or Silver but would like to see the distribution. Here’s the pic thread for an easier decision:

Looks aside, concerned that that black will show the most dust both from the brakes and from the short gravel/dirt section I have.

Platinum by far.
Silver is too bright.
Black is too dark.
Gold is just gross.

Nothing wrong with bright wheels especially when contrasting a darker color. Timeless.
Strong words on the aurum.

Everyone entitled to their opinion of course, but I'll simply fire back on the Aurum comment with this...maybe better to say Aurum is not the boring choice...so I guess not for everybody.

I went with Platinum. I am over black wheels entirely, silver looked too bright and aurum just screams Subaru STI to me.

Definitely not black. I like the contrast of bright silver against a dark colour. Platinum can work well too, and hides brake dust and dirt equally well, but less contrast. Aurum would be a bold choice, not sure if I love it or hate it.

Best looking Gentian car posted so far, and I'm not usually a fan of black wheels. If I were doing a Gentian GT4, I'd do black wheels and black calipers.

I was at San Diego Porsche yesterday and they had one with silver wheels.IMO it was to bright and didn't go well with black trim. BTW they have 4 cars available all with 10K ADM. One of them was 148K including ADM. Crazy!

^Looks good, but black wheels (like black paint) will only look like that for 10 mins after a car-wash. Almost every black wheel I see on the road looks dusty and grimy instead of shiny like that.

Yup, black wheels look terrible after they’ve been exposed to sand/dust and rain.

Every wheel looks like **** if you let brake dust accumulate. Nothing magical about black in that regard. I don't like black wheels, but it's the only color I'd have on a Gentian car. Personal preference.

I like contrast with silver on dark paint and black on light paint. Platinum is an interesting choice being in between and might be what I get next. I'm considering aurum with gentian blue, but it might be a bit much with a black/bordeaux interior. Another interesting choice is a wheel painted black with silver lip/edges...best of both worlds in one. I'm seriously considering the carrera sport wheels in satin black for that reason.

This reminds me of my Giulia. Every single car the dealer ordered had black wheels. I ended up buying silver wheels for my blue car for my summer tires and when they saw it they started ordering some cars with silver wheels. It's like silver wheels have become the new "wild" color choice.

Silver hides dust/dirt MUCH better than black. Anyone that has owned both knows this.

I'm usually on the not a fan side of bright bronze to gold tones but those look pretty sporty on that thing in that color.
