Default Tire Pressure

What tire pressure are folks running here for daily driving? Mine came with 34 Front, 37 rear cold at the delivery time.

I start out my day (ambient temperature 68F or 20C) with the fronts at 29 psi and the rears at 33 psi

I just follow the recommended pressures on the sticker on the driver's side door sill. It's probably optimized for economy. At the track, I see many folks deflate their tires.

It seems to want at least 31 F/37R, but I've been running 29/29 at autocross for a bit more grip. The race track function on the TPMS is handy to stop it complaining

Same here, except at the track yesterday where I deflated them slightly after the first run

For daily use - the pressures on the door card.
Typically cars are delivered with the pressures way too high.

This is from the manual/door sticker...

Those are old 986, etc recommendations. That all went out the window beginning with 987.2 due to suspension differences. That track function is really worthless because it sometimes requires one to go below what the function likes. Disclaimer: it all depends on your run group level, OAT, etc where you begin.

Correct to start out there as long as one remembers that every 10 degree rise in OAT changes the pressures ~1 psi.

I read somewhere that 29F and 30R is the sweet spot for canyon carving. 27F 28R for track and possibly lower depending on track temps. I'm currently running the recommended 29F 33R. I'm going to lower the rear
and see how it feels.

I think everyone can agree those are way too high for cold pressure.

I have 29/32 F/R cold pressures.

Fro canyons driving:
With stock recommended tire wear was way too far from the wear marks.

With 28/30 f/r it was bang on. Even a tad too close. Car was screaming at me all the time for too low pressure.

Went up to 30/32 - will see how it wears.

For track pressure needs to be reduced by a lot.

Does the Spyder/GT4 no longer have TPMS screen in MFD? That allows setting standard vs comfort pressure? And partial load vs. full load?

I thought that's what's called for on the door card?

You might be right - it seems to me i've seen something like this in owner's manual.

Yes the GT4 and Spyder still have TPMS in the MFD, but I do not see a selection for "Comfort Pressure" only Summer or Winter in 20" sizing and the recommended fills of 29psi/front and 33psi/rear, GT cars wouldn't run in comfort mode...

The GT4 has an additional selection for 'Race Track Mode' that the Spyder does not have, this mode allows you to set and operate with pressures outside of those normally used on the street without the system complaining.
