This car is glorious

Please post some photos. I am debating about yellow for my January 2021 GT4 allocation that just came in. I have it in GR, like my Spyder, but interested in seeing RY before it locks in in october.
Thanks.

All the 4 pics are camera phones, and I only took one of them. It’s like Miami in that grayscale can make it look a bit different (Speed or Summer). I’d say the 3rd and 4th are most faithful to the ‘in person’ experience.

The exhaust IMO sounds fine under throttle, but it goes near dead silent between 2000-4000 rpm under partial throttle. It is disconcerting. One of things we love about a NA motor is the linearity, and the sound should match that and be "linear" also. In this case it isn't. In all likelihood, I will mod the exhaust, but I am not going to jump at the early offerings. I want to wait to see what Akrapovic, Armytrix and Capristo come up with. From the current crop, my top two choices are cargraphic and Supersprint.

And you’re confusing your opinion with fact. That’s a sure sign of arrogance, which your post above indicates you have in spades.

I’m glad people are excited about their car. I have a 718 Spyder and I love it. However, the sound is pitiful. WOT it sounds decent. However, at 2000-4000 rpm it’s almost like an electric car. No sound. The car is great, it could be perfect though!

I agree with the sentiment that the car is silent between 2k and 4k. It really starts to come alive around 5k. I think a GPF delete + valve override will make this car perfect. Sound is subjective, but it is a fact that the car is silent below 4k.

Exactly! I don’t want a car that’s loud all the time. Gotta leave the neighborhood and be as incognito as possible at times. When having fun, lots of throttle and mostly over 5k rpm, glorious it is!

I’ve posted why I like my 718 Spyder even more than my 981 Spyder but the exhaust note below 5k RPMs sucks. And having closed valves with almost no exhaust sound up until 4000 RPMs is disconcerting particularly if you are used to correlating your exhaust note to approximate RPMs
I’ve driven flat 6 Porsches my whole life and drove my 981 Spyder to my dealer and left with my 718 Spyder so the exhaust note of the previous car was fresh in my mind. The 718 Spyder sounds nothing like the typical Porsche flat 6 until you are way up in the RPMs. Maybe some of the folks praising the exhaust note never owned NA flat 6 Porsches. Maybe they did. Sound is subjective but you have to actually drive the car to have a valid opinion.

And don’t look know but even more people are posting in the sound.thread how their cars sound really good once the miles start adding up. How dare they have different opinions?!

You're natural defense when a poster doesn't sing the same praise as you is to claim that poster is slinging fact in an effort to discredit them and have them appear irrational, when actually you're the only one stating such. people can collectively have gripes. Additionally none of us would be brazen or delirious enough to call them FACTS.
Surely we are all arrogant ****** in search of the enlightenment you have achieved. Teach us the way! Humble us! Spew some more rhetoric on what you've read somewhere that somehow aligned with your fantasies.
Edit. Brap brap crowd. Get off it already. how deep of a hole do you need to dig yourself?

I’ve only had a BM M2C and a 992 but I too love everything about this car including the sound - there’s so much more to listen too than just the exhaust and I don’t miss the backfire bubbles one bit.
