Default Crazy Eddie’s LWBS bolster protectors

Hi there everyone!

I wanted to leave a quick review of a must have accessory a lot of 981 GT4 guys know about, so that us 718 GT4 owners are aware.

On recommendation from 981 GT4 and GT3 owners, I got a set of LWBS bolster protectors from rennlister “Crazy Eddie” and they are fantastic! I’m a bit of a large dude (6’2” and 215 lbs) and so was concerned about damaging the boosters when I exit the car.

These are incredibly matched to the leather and stitching of the factory materials. Super impressive, and they install in a very secure way.

Hit him up on Rennlist if you’re interested, also:

This was one of the goodies I bought for my GT4 and have it already. Just been lazy to install. Should do it this week.

I need this ASAP. I've been terrified getting in and out of these seats. Eddies covers look better than others I've seen. I hear nothing but good things about them.

You will not be disappointed with this solution! If the leather on the bolsters is damaged, it can be repaired, but it's rather costly...maybe a couple of hundred dollars for a rather small area. These bolster covers will pay for themselves. And they look like the stock seats! I'm not affiliated with Eddie, but I do like his product...

I bought a set from Ed in anticipation of my delivery in a couple months. Quality is excellent and Ed is a pleasure to do business with.

How many pieces are these? Cant tell if it's two pieces per seat or something else. Sadly the website doesn't offer much detail either.

(Not so) Crazy Eddie's customer attention is second to none.

God bless,

Confirmed. I bought a set from him as well (4 pcs). Ed went out of his way to ensure I received what I asked for.

I would say not difficult but do require a bit of patience and perseverance, mine are on but not perfectly aligned/fitted, there is a certain amount is messaging that needs to take place for the best fit...

One cautionary note, Ed supplies 3M Velcro hook tape for securing the loop tether, do not pull the backing off before you are ready to attach it to the bar under the seat or try to put it back on the backing, I got it on the wrong side and it was not coming off that plastic!

Put your left hand on the door sill and use that hand to lift yourself. Makes it a lot easier to get in and out of the buckets. I was using the 'handle' thing on the seat itself and using the door sill is not only easier but puts less wear on the seats.
