Quite honestly none of the 4.0L models are limited but they are allocated based on historical data as well as dealer pre-order banks. Sometimes there may be supplier issues that cause constraints on the numbers but I think what’s really happening here is a controlled rollout.

Allocations are a black art and because many of the calculations are skewed based on a dealers past performance with a particular model. Some large dealers get little to no allocation of a particular model while smaller boutique dealers get 4 or 5.

I went through this on a Spyder order just this week. My dealer’s allocations were all taken but they also had an ace in the hole, a number of what the sales manager called “interesting” allocations that they were willing to offer in trade. It took her about 4 hours this past Friday to secure a Spyder allocation for me from a dealer up north. I don’t know what they had to give up but I’m sure it was something juicy. For a small dealership they turn a lot of pretty exotic hardware. A lot of stuff from the GT group comes through their shop. They always seem to be able to come up with a car when asked.

BTW, I have the Commission number and the status, V200 with a 1/21 projected in dealer inventory date.

I tried to search for 2021 production numbers for the BGTS 4.0, but couldn’t find any. Does anyone have access to this information?

Also, 2022 production numbers may be impacted by supply chain and “other” issues. These cars could be quite rare.

Last time I looked at Vin Analytics I was 56 out of 324 for 2021. I don't know if those 324 includes other models like the cayman...it could just not sure..

I dont think this is right as it hasnt budged in a few months but Canada usually receives about 10% of the US production so maybe it is
