Congrats!! While I'm beyond grateful to have had my GT4 for nearly a year and a half, I'm a little jealous that TYD wasn't available yet when my car was produced. It would have been so cool to have those pics.
I picked up set of Forgeline LS3 3 piece wheels from a fellow RL member recently as an extra set of wheels. Not sure yet what their ultimate purpose will be, but the price was too good to pass up. As noted, since they are a "classic" style wheel similar to BBS wheels from the '80s, and more importantly gold, it won't be for everyone.
I ordered my car with Satin Aurum wheels, and then also have a couple of other sets of 19" wheels for autocross in gold and black/bronze.
Specs were unavailable from the seller, but I was able to contact Forgeline with the serial numbers and they were able to provide them to me. 19x9 front with 52mm offset and 19x10.5 rear with 40mm offset. They were originally built for a 981 GT4 where the common thought was to go half inch wider in the front and half inch narrower in the rear to help with rotation. We don't have to worry about that, so I may have Forgeline send me some new inner barrels for the rear that are half inch wider to bring it out to 11". After running the offset calculations, that would give me the same offset as one of my other sets of custom wheels. I need to put the car on the lift with these wheels on the car just to verify the clearance is the same though.
I like the FL gold wheels. I saw them on a Spyder and they just didn't seem right but look good on a GT4. I'm less of a fan of the yellow interior accents with the green as it all reminds me of the Brazilian or Jamaican flag (maybe because I grew up in Brazil).
@rusmani Just be prepared for the rolling party. If you like meeting people and talking cars, this is a great vehicle for that (double entendre nailed!). This car invites (and draws) commentary, and people don't just like it, they LOVE it. (although some will hate it lol) The (mostly) positive energy it creates and draws is so much fun, imo. It genuinely seems to bring joy, which is a nice thing to share in this world. Some might claim it is an ego thing, but to me, I just love the enthusiasm and happiness it seems to inspire. Shark Blue may do the same, however; dunno.
