I think I may have figured part of it out - since I am getting the leather steering wheel and shifter will they have deviated stitching in Yellow if I opt for the Extended package? I thought I read that if one opts for the leather steering wheel and shifter the stitching stays Black (?).
Oh and there are those that will say that the yellow stitching if applied to the forward part of the dash right at the windshield cause a nasty reflection in the glass, one reason I stayed away from this one.

I think that this is the case, Race-Tex and the stitching is deviated, go for leather and you get black stitching unless... there is a CXX option to have this done?

I have the extended dash and steering column; both reflection no-nos from the peanut gallery.
Live in South Texas; lots of sun...never noticed either. 3500 miles and counting
Positioning the car and sun angle to produce a reflection is like aligning for a total eclipse.

In the end decided on alcantara w/ no controls.
However, when I posed the question on RL iirc folks responded with deviated leather wheels saying my SA was wrong.
I went PDK so unsure about manual boot

People say all sorts of uninformed stuff on here.

I don't have the stitching at the windshield but I do on the steering column cover and it is noticeable without seeking out a total eclipse... it is fair to say some people notice these things other do not, we appear to fall on opposite side of that divide.

I have a large registration sticker on my windshield that I also don’t see.
Lots of years driving/flying w/huds so maybe not very sensitive to it.
