TXshaggy, are those wheels platinum or just dirty silver?

Please excuse the rotors, still drying off and have to roll it down the street. They’re the base silver with black calipers. Love them and wife mandated the look...she hated my last murdered out black wheel car.

One last thing about black calipers...you see nothing but wheel and I think the wheels are epic.

There are two colours for a Porsche, yellow and everything else

I will be joining the yellow clan with a GTS Cayman in the spring. Is there a special handshake?

Yes, congrats! Only the bold wear yellow...no special handshake required!

I love the look of the RY with no decals, black Porsche emblem on the back and black calipers. My BGTS will hopefully be here by the end of next week and I did the same thing. The only difference is that I did go for the black wheels.

Awesome color! I had a 2013 RY Boxster, now have a 2015 RY 911 GTS and will soon have a 2021 RY BGTS that will replace the 911 (I miss the mid-engine fun!). My friends roll their eyes and say "Another yellow car??? Time for new friends!

Agreed on both points! Every so often the left side of my brain says "get the GTS Boxster and save yourself $10K" but then the right side says "but those rims on the Spyder" lol

Love your car. After having lived with the yellow gauge faces for a few weeks do you still like them? Anything on your build that you would change?

Thanks! Here is the build details: http://www.porsche-code.com/PMII7AA6

Good questions! Like many spent quite a bit on the configurator and several in person sit downs at the local dealership as not everything on the website is accurate or clear.

Our goal was to build something that was visually striking and said, let’s go have fun. Also wanted to max out the interior leather/stitching to create a specific textual sensation.

Gauge faces, love them! IMO, just need sufficient contrast to see needle position sweeping toward 8000. Plenty of contrast for that, at night the faces are dark and no hint of yellow so look like any other gauge face. The SC does stay a glowing yellow...think that is cool also.

Washed my wheels yesterday; ughhh perhaps some black caliper PCCB would have been better; but of course that is a steep bill that for me is driven by cleanliness.

I knew going in there’d be no comfort access or seat memory but got the 18 ways anyway. Just to be aware of; it’s ok and wouldn’t change. Wanted the deviated backs and had buckets last time.

Here is something that does bother me...the visors! They are cheap, cheap, cheap. The decals are like right in my face. I debated the Alcantara ones, but decided no. Think it’s a $500 or so option, be advised on suncoast they’re like 1300 but you can get them wo stickers. Of course the upgraded alcantara ones would have decals also and unsure they can be removed as cleanly as the plastic standard visors. Probably will just remove the decals and live with the plastic ones. Local shop can redo with leather or alcantara with matched deviated for around $700.

Skipped NAV for first time in last half dozen new car purchases. Don’t miss it and love Carplay. Had it in my last car and never used it...it’s great happy I dumped NAV. You do lose some track functionality wo NAV.

Happy with Bose. There is no way the BM system makes sense...noise levels in the cockpit negate this upgrade. This was before GPF delete pipe lol..

Bottomline, no regrets! Can’t tell you how special the interior feels for me.

Feel free to shout back or request pics. Happy to help.

^ Shaggy, thx for the report. Are the wheels more than usual work to keep clean?

Keep the pics coming!

Stand out and no need to blend in is my style too! My RY GT4 will be here in couple months and can't wait.

No, they are really easy. Simple design with not a lot of material or narrow crevices; the RS Spyder wheels on a SUV I'm looking at -- those will be a chore.

The actual cleaning goes quite quickly. Get some specialty wheel brushes like: https://www.autogeek.net/daytona-spe...r-brushes.html and it'll be super easy to include the whole barrel.

Since I'm only driving on nice temperate days the car can go a long time without detailing -- except the wheels which rapidly get quite dark.

Heading to Xpel on Tuesday so doing some paint correction on the areas being covered. Will be putting the correction light on areas to see what types of damage/micro abrasion is happening and where.

More to follow...

Congrats! I think the GT4 looks hot in Yellow; surprised more didn't go that route since RY was the GT4 launch and marketing color.

If it had been Speed instead of Racing, I think a lot more people would have gone yellow. Or better yet, if Signal or Bahama were offered as a special color instead of PTS.
