Default GT Silver with Silver or Platinum wheels

The configurator is so bleh. Google search shows too many pics under different condition or shade.

I spec'ed the latter for my build (still in transit). I prefer a little more contrast, and was worried the brightness of the sliver wheels would compete with the brightness of the GT Silver (eg looks like you tried to "matchy matchy", but failed).

To decide, I had to extrapolate from platinum wheels on my GT3, and the GT Silver I had on my Spyder (which had black wheels). I think there's enough contrast there with the platinum, especially if you're going with the iron rotors (eg brake dust darkens them up a bit, but doesn't make them look "dirty").

I too spec'd the darker although I like the silver as well. +1 to what SnoBdrAK said above. Good thing about wheels though is you can easily change that!

Default Brighter wheels for me

It depends on what you want, as in a darker appearing car or a brighter one. My Spyder arrived yesterday and as you can see I chose brighter.

My old Rhodium 981 GT4 with silver wheels. I miss that car dearly.

Exactly! This looks AWESOME! I'm sorry you don't have it anymore I feel the same way about an '01 MCoupe. Especially after a few years ago I saw how the values of the '01-'02s shot up.

I have GT silver with Platinum wheels and it looks fantastic. GT Silver is also a bit darker in real life than it appears in many pics. Keep this in mind when looking online at images. Here is a pic of my car that closely accurately captures GT Silver and Platinum wheels:

Forgive the intrusion but there was way too much purple in that picture for me to tell what was going on. Do you feel this corrected image is accurate? It looks like a *beautiful* combination to me.

Autsch. We have to sit you down and talk to you about your wheel choice.

I think GT silver looks good with Platinum wheels. The standard silver is much lighter than GT silver.
